This morning walk was soaking wet, foggy and felt a little like walking on the surface of the moon. While staying with a group of scientists in a basecamp less than half a mile from the Greenland Ice sheet, I learned a little something about hard work.
The scientists would put down 8-10 miles a day for who knows how many days straight, carrying heavy equipment into the icy labyrinth of the glacier. Stopping every so often to check the map and continue on.
Theres data to be collected, no time for pictures.
