Pero para mi, es mucho más que eso. Es decirle a la Fran de 14 años que trabajó vendiendo en la calle para comprarse su primer computador para poder seguir estudiando, que valió la pena.
Que los sueños de una niña de colegio público, sin apoyo familiar ni de profesores, que trabajaba paralelamente, lo logró. Y lo logró a través de hacer lo que tanto me avergonzaba y en algún punto me molestaban; y no porque estuviera mal, si no que no era mi lugar, y aún así, fue lo que me llevó a conseguir lo imposible.
Siempre me encantó estudiar, de hasta lo inimaginable, pero en algún punto cuando quise utilizar ese conocimiento/ llevarlo al siguiente punto, nadie creyó en mi. Mis papás me decían que lo dejara, profesores me recomendaban preocuparme de otras cosas, y “amigos” hasta se burlaban. Pero aún así seguí, con miedo, sola a hacer lo que tanto amaba, comenzó en un studygram, siguió con preuniversitario gratuito, una investigación científica y terminó en postular al extranjero dos veces.
El miedo me comía.
El 2021 (yo en 4to) intenté postular, pero por pandemia y mi salud mental se convirtió en algo imposible el sólo postular. Con más miedo aún, pensando que iba a fallar nuevamente, el 2022 me dediqué a ello.
Cada día era preguntarse si iba a ser fructífero, porque era 1 entre mil posibilidades de conseguir la beca que necesitaba y estaba perdiendo el tiempo para estudiar para la PAES y así no perder otra vez el año. Pero con ese miedo que me tuvo vomitando todo un mes, me dediqué a ello, sabiendo que me arrepentiría más aún si no lo hubiera aunque sea, intentado.
Hasta el día de hoy no me lo creo, porque en mi mente, es aún un “no lo vas a lograr”. Era - de un 3% de aceptación, con más de 20.000 postulantes y 500 vacantes. Y no sólo era entrar, era que me dieran la beca del 100% porque me es imposible pagarme ni siquiera los pasajes.
Pero como dicen en Disney, los sueños se hacen realidad.
