Da die Räder des nur 3,05 Meter langen Mini an den äußersten Ecken der Karosserie befestigt waren, konnte auf einer minimalen Grundfläche eine größtmögliche Innenfläche realisiert werden.
Dieses Prinzip wird bis heute bei Kleinwagen beibehalten und zeigt das der Mini ein Meilenstein in der Entwicklungsgeschichte des Automobils war.

The original Mini 🇬🇧 was built from 1959 to 2000.
His engine was transversely mounted front and he had front-wheel drive. That was rather unusual for the time.
Since the wheels of the only 3.05 meter long Mini were attached to the outermost corners of the body, could be realized on a minimum footprint a maximum inner surface.
This principle is still maintained today in small cars and shows that the Mini was a milestone in the history of the development of the automobile.

Der Nachfolger des Porsche 718 wurde für die GT-Klasse der Sportwagen-Weltmeisterschaft entworfen.
Der Porsche 904 durfte deshalb auch auf öffentlichen Straßen bewegt werden.
Für die Zulassung musste Porsche aber, wie schon beim Porsche 911, von der internen Bezeichnung abweichen. Peugeot hatte sich die Namensrechte an dreistelligen Zahlen mit einer Null in der Mitte gesichert. Der Porsche 904 wurde daher als Carrera GTS vertrieben und zugelassen.
Die glasfaserverstärkte Kunststoffkarosserie war eine Kooperation mit dem Flugzeugbauer Heinkel und wurde von F.A. Porsche entworfen.
Neben den Vierzylinder wurden auch Werkswagen mit Sechzylinder und 210 PS gefertigt.
Dieses Exemplar ist eines der drei 904 mit Achtzylinder Motoren, von denen einer die Prototypenklasse bei der Targa Florio 1964 gewann.

The successor to the Porsche 718 was designed for the GT class of the sports car world championship.
The Porsche 904 was therefore allowed to be moved on public roads.
For the approval but had Porsche, as in the Porsche 911, deviate from the internal name. Peugeot had secured the naming rights to three-digit numbers with a zero in the middle. The Porsche 904 was therefore marketed as a Carrera GTS and approved.
The glass fiber reinforced plastic body was a cooperation with the aircraft manufacturer Heinkel and was from F.A. Porsche designed.
In addition to the four-cylinder and factory cars were manufactured with six-cylinder and 210 hp.
This specimen is one of the three 904 with eight-cylinder engines, one of which won the prototype class in the 1964 Targa Florio.

Le Mans Classic
Mit dem GT 40 gelang es Ford die Ferrari Gewinnserie zu stoppen und erstmals als Le Mans Sieger hervor zu gehen.
Ferrari als würdiger Gegner hatte allerdings von 1960 bis 1965 ebenfalls in Folge gewonnen.
Der Ford GT40 war in seiner Zeit ein extrem schneller Sportwagen, der Verkauf an Straßenwagen war leider weniger erfolgreich.
Der beschwerliche Einstieg und die schlechten Rundumsicht ließen viele Käufer zögern, obwohl die Fahrleistungen sehr gut waren.
So wurden von 1965 bis 1969 gerade einmal 31 Straßen Versionen (Mark I und Mark III) verkauft.
Heute sind sie zusammen mit den Rennversionen gesuchte Sammlerstücke und gern gesehene Exoten an den größten Rennveranstaltungen der Welt.

With the GT 40 Ford managed to stop the Ferrari winning series and to emerge for the first time as Le Mans winner.
Ferrari as a worthy opponent, however, had won from 1960 to 1965 also in a row.
The Ford GT40 was an extremely fast sports car in its time, the sale of road cars was unfortunately less successful.
The arduous entry and the poor visibility made many buyers hesitate, although the performance was very good.
Thus, from 1965 to 1969, just 31 road versions (Mark I and Mark III) were sold.
Today, together with the racing versions, they are sought after collectibles and welcome exotics at the world's largest racing events.

So ist dann auch einer der kleinsten Renntransporter mit Rennwagen entstanden. 🤗

Der Mercedes-Benz SL Pagode mit der internen Bezeichnung W 113 wurde im Jahr 1963 auf dem Genfer Auto-Salon vorgestellt.
Den bekannten Namen Pagode bekam der SL wegen seines gewölbten Hardtops.
Das abnehmbare Coupédach senkte sich zur Mitte hin ab und erinnerte dadurch in seiner Form an eine fernöstliche Tempelarchitektur, mit der Pagodenform.
Insgesamt wurde der SL ca 49000-mal gebaut. Die Versionen 230 SL von 1963–1967, 250 SL in 1967 und 280 SL von 1968–1971, konnten wahlweise mit Schalt- oder Automatikgetriebe bestellt werden.

The Mercedes-Benz SL Pagoda with the internal name W 113 was presented in 1963 at the Geneva Motor Show.
The famous name pagoda got the SL because of its curved hardtops.
The removable coupe roof lowered to the center, reminiscent in its shape of a Far Eastern temple architecture, with the pagoda shape.
Overall, the SL was built about 49,000 times. The versions 230 SL from 1963-1967, 250 SL in 1967 and 280 SL from 1968-1971, could be ordered optionally with manual or automatic transmission.

Zwischen 1949 und 1990 wurden ca 4 Millionen Limousinen und etwa 1,5 Millionen Lieferwagen (Kastenenten) produziert.
Die Entwickler sollten ein gut gefedertes Auto entwickeln, das schlechte Wegstrecken mit mindestens 60km/h fahren konnte.
Dies sollte voll beladen möglich sein, dabei war das Aussehen egal.
Niemand ahnte das dieses Fahrzeug einmal Kult werden könnte.
