URGENT DONATIONS NEEDED

This poor dog was ran over and he urgently needs help. He’s been suffering in the heat and a group of concerned community members are doing all they can to get him safe in a kennel but he’s so scared right now!

This sweet boy has to cross the lake by helicopter and then take a flight into Winnipeg from his remote community in northern Manitoba!!

Can you help us save this beautiful rez dog?? Even $20 really makes a difference! E-transfers/paypal donations can be sent to with “injured dog” in the message.

We will keep everyone up to date when he’s secured and on his way to Winnipeg!
Some days are harder than others. Some days I feel so defeated. We are truly trying our best to help these beautiful rez dogs and I often wonder why more don’t want to see this succeed…

I am always so worried about how to pay the enormous bills Save A Dog Network has each month, without burning out and giving up.

It’s a delicate balance of pushing for change and waiting for action but I have to have enormous hope that all this hard work we are doing, is not for nothing.

Make the time for us trying to change the animal welfare world. Donate, volunteer, transport, spread the word or have the meeting you say you were going to. Invest in your community. Invest in the future for all of us. Please consider donating even $20.

E-transfers/PayPal donations can be sent to with “SADN” in the message.

More sweet babies arrived a few nights ago from The Pas area last night. It’s a neverending flow of unwanted dogs needing to come in. There’s such a lack of veterinary care in the north, which clogs up alot of the resources in Winnipeg and beyond the province.

Can anyone help sponsor a pup for $25 each? It really helps us continue this important work and keep our shelter open! E-transfers/PayPal donations can be sent to with “8 pups” in the message.

Big thanks to everyone involved with keeping them safe, especially the amazing crew at The Pas and Area Animal Shelter! If you are looking for a puppy to adopt, these 8 will be available via our friends at Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter in the coming weeks. 🥰
Looking for donations to help with the expenses for our gorgeous new pups from Pukatawagan! This helps us keep the lights on at our shelter!!

E-transfers/PayPal donations can be sent to with “3 pups” in the message.

Thanks for considering! Every $20 really makes our days a bit more bearable.
When people live in impossible conditions for too long, the brain does something powerful to survive…it starts treating crisis like normal life. It’s happening to myself too.

We stop reacting to the urgency of dog shoots.
We stop reacting the abhorrent injuries and sickness.
We expect dog bites and suffering everyday.

Not because we don’t care, but because living in constant stress changes what feels normal.

But the truth is…it’s not normal. We are creating more of a mess for normalizing it. When suffering becomes everyday life, it can be hard to imagine something different.

We need to keep reminding ourselves and each other, this is not just “how it is.” Things can change but you have to show up, even when it hurts so badly. We are suffering so deeply, and that is exactly why change cannot wait any longer. #enddogshoots #vetcareforall #rezdogarmy
Shoulda called this fella Conditioner, cuz he’s so silky and smooth. So cute!!!

Welcome to the SADN crew, Scout! 😂😩💖
DOG WARTS (Canine Papilloma Virus)

These small pink/pale bumps are common in dogs and are caused by a virus.

What to look for:
• Small, round, pink or white bumps
• Usually around the lips, gums, tongue, or inside the mouth
• May show up in clusters
• Most dogs still act normal

How they spread:
• Saliva/mouth is the biggest way
• Sharing water bowls is a common way dogs pass them to each other (especially communal water dishes)
• Shared toys and close mouth contact

Good news:
• Many warts go away on their own over time, usually a few weeks
• Not contagious to humans

Message or call your local Rescue or veterinarian if:
• They grow quickly
• They bleed
• Your dog has trouble eating
• You are unsure what the bumps are
Macey arrived to Winnipeg from northern Manitoba but not without some hardship. Poor girl suffering outside nursing her pups in the rain.

It was a long road for her, having to take an 8 hour train and then a 6 hour drive but we’re so happy she is inside and safe with her 4 pups.

We’re looking for donations to help cover her expenses, so if you can donate even $20, we would really appreciate it so much! E-transfers/paypal donations can be send to with “Macey” in the message.

Thanks to all who made this happen! 🥰 #rezdogarmy
Sleep well little one, your life is just beginning 🥰
I sat with both hope and grief today.

I am mourning the loss of our dear friend Desmond from Pukatawagan. He was a bright light in the rez dog world. He cared deeply, gave endlessly and suffered silently because he wanted better for the dogs.

Desmond spent countless hours helping to care for them, especially during both fire evacuations. More recently, he had been learning how to give vaccines to the dogs because he wanted to be part of creating real, lasting change.

The hole he leaves behind is hard to put into words. But we owe it to him to keep going, even in these dark times. To keep showing up for Pukatawagan and keep believing change is possible.

For Desmond. For the Rez Dogs. 💖 #rezdogarmy
