And even though I live somewhere beautiful, have incredible friends, and get to spend my days with the most wonderful little human; sometimes I’m just lonely.
I miss having someone to share her milestones with. Someone to catch her morning smile alongside me. Someone to tell about the little moments after she goes to sleep over a glass of wine or to curl up with for a movie and just hold hands.
Separating was probably one of the best decisions we ever made. But the thought of dating again honestly scares me. The thought of Yara meeting someone new, or the sheer effort of making time for a person I don’t even know yet… feels like too much.
And I genuinely love our life. I love our newfound peace and our freedom and the way we laugh freely. I love not having to make anyone else happy, except for my daughter and myself.
But sometimes, in the quiet, I wonder if I’ll ever meet someone who loves us the way I think we deserve to be loved.
Single motherhood is hard. Hormones, even after a year postpartum are still very much a thing. Not knowing what I want or who I am in this new version of myself is hard… but I think that’s just part of it.
The wounds are still healing. She’s still my whole priority. And I guess only time will tell🤍

(2 days late, I know)… I am so so incredibly lucky to be your mom and am so grateful that I’ve been allowed to witness your life and your ever growing smile every day since April 21, 2025. You are my literal sunshine. And even though I imagined this journey with you a little different, I wouldn’t change a single thing if it meant I wouldn’t get to be your mom!

There were moments I felt lost, overwhelmed, unsure how I would keep going… and moments where I felt stronger than I ever imagined. Every hard moment was worth it, because I grew her.
I started this year with Yara already six months inside of me, and I’m ending it with her eight months in my arms. Every month I think this is my favorite stage — and then she grows again, learns something new, looks at me differently… and my heart somehow grows with her.
She is my greatest creation, my hardest lesson, my deepest love. Watching her grow has been the most emotional, humbling, and beautiful adventure of my life.
I also get to live with one of the greatest jobs — being in the air and doing what fills my heart. I’m grateful I get to keep that part of my life going alongside motherhood.
