Prenatal hormone, vitamin, mineral and nutrient levels matter!

You want OPTIMAL levels so that you can conceive in confidence.

A FEW of the labs I recommend being in an optimal range would be- progesterone, cortisol, thyroid, iron, omega 3’s & 6’s, Vitamin D, etc... If the mother is deficient in any of these, sometimes the placenta with shunt the nutrients to her leaving the baby depleted. There is no need for this. Let’s get you back to OPTIMAL levels so that you can have a healthy pregnancy and baby!
Let's think this through... Your cycle is so heavy that you’re going through a super plus tampon and pad hourly and you can't leave your house for fear of an accident.
You're desperate for solutions and don’t want to continue hibernating each month during your cycle.

You go to your doctor and you are given two options, an IUD or a uterine ablation. But wait, neither of these options really get to the root cause of the problem. They just stop the heavy bleeding.

Heavy cycles are caused by too much estrogen.

Fake estrogen is literally everywhere! It is in all the plastics we drink from and heat up in the microwave. It comes from gasoline byproducts in lotions, make-up, and skin care. It is in the food we eat and the polluted air we breathe.

As a woman, it is very easy to become estrogen dominate.

Estrogen and progesterone balance each other out just like a teeter-totter.

After delivering a baby or two or three, your body can become deficient in progesterone. Then, the stress of being a busy wife and mother burns off and depletes your progesterone even more.

Progesterone keeps estrogen in check and when it decreases, your estrogen can increase causing heavy menstrual cycles, PMS, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, anxiety, insomnia, and an increased risk for every female cancer.

So, while a uterine ablation will stop the annoying bleeding, it does not fix the fact that your hormone receptors are saturated with estrogen. An ablation also does nothing to address the progesterone deficiency. 🌺The actual solution would be to replace progesterone naturally and carefully to balance out the estrogen dominance. This will, over time, put you back into balance.

Progesterone will decrease the heavy cycles, reduce if not eliminate PMS, stop the proliferation of estrogen in the production of ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, and cancer. Progesterone will help you sleep deeper, shut off your racing mind, decrease anxiety, build the adrenal glands to help with energy, and build your bones to prevent osteoporosis, etc.… Your uterine lining will thank you for not burning it off, and every cell in your body will thank you for naturally replacing it with progesterone!
I am really not a fan of this saying.

But I do hope that our "new normal" focuses on what we should have been doing all along.

Focusing on boosting your immune system by taking high quality supplements of essential vitamins, minerals, and herbs.

Eating organic quality nutrient dense foods and eliminate refined carbs, GMO's, food dyes, BPA's, additives, etc... Drinking quality, clean, mineral dense water, free of toxins and medications.

Creating the time and environment where your body and mind can switch into a parasympathetic state instead of being in the stress state of fear, panic, and rush i.e. mediation, prayer, scripture reading, gratitude, yoga, etc.... Regular exercise that you can do anywhere.

Regular fasting which helps with autophagy and improves your gut microbiome.

Working on increasing your intuition, discernment, and knowledge in the searching for actual truth amongst information overload.

Protecting our Constitution and rights which our forefathers shed their blood to provide for us.

Having the essentials your family needs on hand.

Being kind, open minded and nonjudgmental to those that think or act differently than you- (It goes both ways). Looking for ways to serve others when there is not a crisis.

Hopefully, this "new normal" means more focus on self-care, mental and physical health, and a focus on what is really important like our family and freedoms.
This last six weeks has proven to be stressful for all of us!

With the economy opening back up this next week, I hope taking good care of yourself remains high on your priority list.

Many of you have been super moms- home schooling while still working full time!

The prolonged stress accompanied by increased worry and fear can leave us depleted.

In these stress states we tend to burn off progesterone quickly which inadvertently affects our ability to produce cortisol. This leaves our adrenal glands depleted which may lead to fatigue, brain fog, lethargy, lightheadedness and dizziness, craving sugar or salt with more aches and pains.

This stress state can also cause us to be depleted of many vital nutrients.

Now is a good time to catch deficiencies before they turn into chronic conditions.

I am here to support you as we all move forward from this pandemic!
Nothings going to stop us from moving forward! Waited my whole life to find the right one! 💕

Hope you all continue to move forward on your goals!
I'll be back in the office on May 1st to resume patient care.
Emotional health plays a huge roll in boosting or suppressing the immune system.

Being in a constant state of panic, fear, anxiety and isolation increases the stress hormone called cortisol.

This increase in cortisol in turn weakens your immune system by decreasing the number of cells sent out to fight off bacteria and viruses.

Continual influxes and bursts of cortisol throughout the day like after reading the news, only worsen this cycle and makes you more susceptible to illness.

On the flip side you can do a lot to reverse this influx of cortisol by focusing on happy, positive things.

Go on mindful, gratitude walks and see how many beautiful things you can see. The blue sky and green grass can do a lot to reduce cortisol levels and calm the racing mind. Increase your pace to release endorphins which will give you an even greater boost of the feel-good hormones.

Take the time to delve into a new hobby or read that book you’ve been putting off.

Get your hands busy gardening, sculpting, painting, acting. Get up and move. Create a new workout you can do anywhere.

Watch or listen to something funny and let the laughter roar. #somegoodnews is pretty awesome!

Call someone you love and connect to a familiar voice.

Take control of your thoughts and feelings through meditation.

We are all in this together and can rise stronger than ever!

With all the stress and uncertainty in the world, it is easy for our bodies to be in a constant state of “flight or fight." This state keeps the stress hormone, cortisol and the sympathetic nervous system ramped up which can decrease your immune system.

Here are a few suggestions for ways to lower cortisol and put your body and mind into the parasympathetic state of “rest and digest” where your immune system can flourish. 🍀Ground yourself each day by walking barefoot on the grass while taking 10-20 slow deep breaths 🧠Practice mindfulness and/or medication at least 5 min in the morning and 5 min in the evening 🙏Maintain a prayer practice 🛀Take a magnesium salt & essential oil bath ✍Create a gratitude journal 🤩Find something to laugh about 🌞Gets lots of sunshine fresh air 🤾‍♀️Exercise, yoga, dance- be active to keep the endorphins pumping 🍭Avoid sugar and soda- which decrease the immune system 🍇Continue to eat healthy balanced meals with lots of fruits, vegetables and filtered mineral water 👩‍🏫Create a structured routine for your day 😷Service- go outside yourself and check on your family, friends and neighbors 🎭Listen to soothing music, sing or practice a musical instrument. 🧠Mentally try to let go of anything you can’t control 😊Maintain a positive optimistic attitude.
