Just a little over two weeks before the event, the vision for Bridges of Gold: Power in Unity was simply an idea. What unfolded was something so much greater than I could have imagined.
It was an incredible honor to host and organize an evening celebrating the remarkable AANHPI women-owned small businesses throughout Hampton Roads. To see so many ambitious, talented, driven, and inspiring women gathered in one room was truly a blessing.
The purpose of this event was simple: to uplift, support, and celebrate one another. To remind ourselves that we do not have to build alone. That we have a community of women who are willing to share knowledge, offer guidance, collaborate, mentor, and cheer each other on. That service doesn’t require anything in return. Sometimes the greatest gift we can give is our time, encouragement, and willingness to help another person succeed.
The energy in the room was undeniable. New friendships were formed, collaborations were sparked, resources were shared, and stories were told. It was proof that when women come together with a spirit of abundance rather than competition, incredible things happen.
The turnout exceeded every expectation. I hope every attendee left feeling seen, celebrated, empowered, and inspired.
We have already received such an overwhelming amount of interest for next year’s event, so we will be expanding and opening the event to BOTH male and female AANHPI business owners, along with their staff and guests as well.

Bridges of Gold: Power in Unity was a beautiful evening celebrating the local AANHPI community through culture, connection, entrepreneurship, and shared experiences.
The event brought together an inspiring group of creatives, professionals, business owners, and community leaders for a night filled with meaningful conversations, music, guest speakers, networking, and celebration.
One of the most powerful parts of the evening was seeing so many women-owned businesses and strong, inspiring women gathered in one space supporting one another and proudly celebrating their heritage together.
Events like this are such an important reminder of how much representation, visibility, and community matter. Hampton Roads is filled with incredible people and stories, and it was an honor to be invited into this space and experience it firsthand.

Our beautiful muse had the most stunning features which really allowed us to put emphasis on so many different structures of her face. We used strong highlighting and contouring techniques, structured brows and a true cut crease using natural colors.
