Grey hairs, self-employment, another baby, the best friends, the same OGs, a love of the gym… perhaps I won’t mention the pandemic and perimenopause. That wasn’t a “thing” back then was it…! Ignorance is bliss!😬🫣
What a fun year, 2026 you’ve got a lot to live up to!
I’ve been using this LED face mask for a few weeks now and my skin already looks brighter, firmer and more radiant. Over time I’m hoping for reduced fine lines, boosted collagen and clearer skin.
If you’re looking for the best LED mask for home use, this is it. It treats fine lines, pigmentation and dull skin in as little as 5 minutes a day.
It has 5 LED light colours and 3 treatment modes. My favourite routine is 5 mins Purify Mode to help brighten my skin, followed by 15 mins Firm Mode for anti-ageing and skin tightening.
The hard-shell design means the LED light covers your whole face without touching your skin. It’s cordless, rechargeable and super comfortable – and you can even use it as an LED scalp treatment for hair growth.
LED light therapy masks can be expensive, but this one is far more affordable – and you can save £70 with my exclusive code SARAH70.

Trust me… if you want glowing, youthful skin at home without a trip to the salon, this is a game changer ✨

January really does love to shout at us, doesn’t it…More steps. Less cals. More water. No wine. New hobbies. New habits. New you.
Honestly… I think we’re all a bit bored of that energy now.
I’ve got a few goals for this year, but I’m not sprinting at them. I’m more… strolling with a very strong coffee. ☕️
In work, I want to treat this page properly, like I would a client, not something I squeeze in at the bottom of my to-do list. In the gym, I want to work towards smashing a new team challenge. My saving goal is to take the boys away in August, and sort out our spare room so I have a place to work and a room I’m proud to put guests up in… And I need to switch off more (aka stop pretending my laptop isn’t still open after dinner). I wonder if you can guess which might be the hardest goal of all? 🤔 💻 👀
It’s taking me a little longer to slide into 2026 this year. Ok, we are only in week 2… but spoiler alert: that is what January is for. So, I’m easing in. Leaving these here for accountability, and who knows, maybe you’ll see some of these in photo form this year. 🤷🏼♀️ Watch this space.
Do you set goals? I’ll be honest, I don’t always check whether I actually hit mine. For me, it’s more about having a little focus and some good intention. Soft starts only, please.
A Saturday like this has actually been our norm for a little while now, and they’re not very exciting, but I love them. 🥰 No pressure to be anywhere, our own agenda and a chance to get on top of all the “jobs”!
It’s a bit easier now they’re older and play a bit more contently without us entertaining them. Obviously I wish they’d play a bit more contently together. 🫣😥
There’s a lot of comfort in knowing mess, chaos and home days are normal though isn’t there?
Who else is feeling the “defrost mode”? 🙋♀️

Sharing our experience of Bluestone - where we spent New Years Eve as a family of 4, kids aged 7 & 11.
We booked a 3 night New Year Break stay, in a 2 story cottage in the Village, which included swimming, softplay, evening entertainment, a 2 course street food buffet on NYE and fireworks on NY Day.
➡️ scroll for my honest review of our break and I’ll pop up a Q&A box later or feel free to drop me a question below. Have you been? What did you think? I can see us definitely going back before Louis turns into a teen. I’d love to see it in the summer months.
It was all going really well until they started throwing snow in each others faces! 😬👍
Quote of the day went to Henry: “LOUIS! Don’t come down, it’s a scam. Mummy and Daddy are making us walk back up!”
Thanks for all your suggestions on Sunday, it seems the place to go is Box Hill, Leith Hill, Newlands Corner and Polesden Lacey. Check live available live cams before you go and news of road closures.
Full House here:
• Swore to “do it properly and calmly” (lasted approx 4 mins)
• Asked for help, and expected it. 🙄
• Found a nerf bullet in the tree
• Went through the big bin, twice. First for an envelope of money and second a missing toy. Both were found in the house afterwards! 🫣
• Clogged up vacuum with very glittery fluff
• Passive aggressively asked “is anyone planning to help”
• Vowed not to buy anything new this year
• Wrote a list of items to buy / replace 🫣
• Said “Right. That’s it. I’m done.” (twice)
• Said “Hang on, hang on, another one to go up” (twice)
• Discovered a gift I forgot to give
• Scoffed down the last of the Quality Street just for the tub
• Tangled up the fairy lights
• Threatened to throw the whole lot away and “go minimalist” next Christmas
• Found a decoration after closing the loft door. It said “Wish” on it. So I made a wish and vowed 2026 would be a good year.
You better believe my husband knows better than trying to help this controlling Christmas Princess, especially when it comes to organising. A yummy roast dinner was being cooked while I went at it. So we’ll call it team work. 🥰
How did your take down go? 🎄📦 🧹
We shared a huge portion of salty fish & chips, pinched some of the boys waffle, browsed the gift shops for souvenirs and local Welsh produce to thank the neighbours for feeding the cats. We of course spent the obligatory £10 in the arcade on 2p machines, so my boys could take home a bouncy ball, 2 lollipops and a refresher sweet each. Bargain!
Home sweet home now, in total denial about a weekend of washing, taking down decorations, padlocking the drinks cabinet, meal planning, ironing shirts and attempting to book on to a gym class! 😂🤣🫣 January, I’m ready for you, just not yet!
P.S. I laughed a bit too hard at those last two cards!! IYKYK
Let me influence you to stay closer to home this year. Last year was our renovation hangover year. IYKYK! 😬 We swapped long haul and long stays for short and sweet. Our criteria was close to home, budget friendly, memorable and family friendly.
We’re thinking we’ll mix it up this year. Save for somewhere on our bucket list and invest in our garden which still needs some TLC. But with January being a popular and cost effective time to book travel, let me show you that you don’t need to go far and wide to have fun and switch off.
What’s on your travel wish list for 2026 and any other short distance trips to add to mine?
