I'm learning that there is quite the jump from roaming performer to stage performer when it comes to the energy you give to a performance. And having four 30-minute stage shows a day will definitely test how full your energy meter is, and different kinds of weather (especially hot and muggy) can empty that meter real quick.
It's taught me a lot about pacing myself, listening to my body, and giving myself grace when I don't land a trick, even after trying again and again in front of an audience.
Sunday was definitely testing my capabilities. All day during my shows I had sweat dripping in my eyes and sweaty hands, which doesn't bode well for a juggling show, or a full face of clown makeup 😅😂
Most of my makeup sweated off by the time it was closing gate, and it was visually apparent that I had quite the day 😂
I'm sore, tired, and mentally fatigued from an exhausting weekend.
But, all that aside, there are plenty of moments that make it ALL worth it:
When families come up to tell me that their youngest has been teaching himself how to juggle since the beggining of the season. 💗
When kids excitedly show me how their balance practice is going, while they balance one of their toy swords on the tip of their finger. And all while their families count how many seconds they can hold the balance. 💗 He got up to 15 seconds 👏
When families come back to my show with their rubber chickens that they adopted from me. 💗
When friends come to see my show multiple times a season, and some even multiple times a day. 💗
It all helps to fill my meter a bit more each time. 🥰
The support I've received is really beyond words. Thank you all for loving Jiggles so much. Jiggles loves you right back. 🤡

I've been putting that energy into other things lately, and one being community outreach. I want to take a moment to highlight a nonprofit that is near and dear to my heart, and that is.
Rita's Refuge is a direct aid nonprofit which helps assist our neighbors in need. We help our homeless neighbors and those at risk of homelessness get the documents they need to be able to apply for assistance. We've helped 20 neighbors this year get their IDs, Birth Certificates, and Driver's Licenses. We are also going to start doing mobile outreach in the next couple of months, and we'll also have cooling stations during the hotter months. If you are in the Tulsa area and would like to volunteer your time, please reach out to me. 🙏

Jiggles the Clown will be one of the new lane acts at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival this season! 🤡💕🤹♀️ The runs Saturdays and Sundays, August 30th - October 12th. I'll be out in the lanes sharing my joy with thousands of patrons (annual attendance close to 200,000), and I just feel incredibly honored to be a part of it!
