Ultimi due giorni di safari. Lo Tsavo est è l'ultimo parco che abbiamo visitato. Famoso per la sua terra rossa, ma anche per i suoi leoni senza criniera, è riuscito a regalarci nuove esperienze cariche di emozione. La meraviglia supera la stanchezza e l'esigenza di riposare ormai non riesce ad emergere, sotterrata da mille altre sensazioni che ci frullano dentro.
Che peccato lasciare la jeep!

Un vero gioiello. Quando ho saputo dell'esistenza di questo resort ho pensato che non potevo non andarci... E a posteriori posso dire che è stato un sogno ad occhi aperti! Dormire sulle palafitte, osservare gli animali da un tunnel sottoterra, vedere mandrie di elefanti bere sotto alla reception, sentire i rumori della savana dalla finestra, mangiare con gli animali a pochi metri dal tavolo e tanto altro....
Magico il Kenya, magico il safari.

Then the Roman leader ordered some fishermen to dive in secret and to attach to his hook some fish caught previously and twice or 3 times he pulled up the line loaded with prey. The queen, who understood everything, admired Marco Antonio's skill aloud, and asked him to renew the fishing next day as well. Next day she showed up escorted by her friends. Antony lowered the line, and Cleopatra commanded a servant to immerse himself in the water and hook a fish from Pontus, already salted. Antonio convinced that he had caught something, pulled up the line and everyone saw that it was a fish already salted, and that moreover it did not frequent the sea of Alexandria but only the Pontus sea (now called Black Sea). They laughed. Maybe even Marco Antonio.

Un giorno Marco Antonio stava sugli scogli della città a pescare ma non riusciva a prender nulla, e poiché era presente Cleopatra si angustiò, forse perché la regina si divertiva nell’assistere alla sua vana fatica. Allora il condottiero romano ordinò ad alcuni pescatori di immergersi di nascosto e di attaccare al suo amo dei pesci pescati in precedenza e per due o tre volte tirò su la lenza carica di preda. La regina, che aveva capito tutto, ammirò ad alta voce l’abilità di Marco Antonio, e gli chiese di rinnovare la pesca anche il giorno dopo. E il giorno dopo si presentò scortata dai suoi amici. Antonio calò la lenza e Cleopatra comandò a un servo di immergersi nell’acqua e di attaccare all’amo un pesce del Ponto, già salato. Antonio convinto di aver preso qualcosa, tirò su la lenza e tutti videro che era un pesce già messo sotto sale, e che per di più non frequentava il mare di Alessandria, ma solo il mar Ponto (oggi Mar Nero). E tutti risero. Forse anche Marco Antonio.
