When I arrived in the morning and met the families, I knew it was going to be a wedding to remember, and I was right; lots of smiles, laughter, banter and lots of great energy. Het told me her vidhai would be very emotional, and no one held back on the tears; it was raw and beautiful at the same time and such an important part to capture, especially the moment between Het and her Mum.

When it came to portraits, Reshmi and Karun got into the flow really easily, and it was great having a good amount of time with them while we wandered around the grounds at the Manor, and it was hot and sunny!
The vidhai was quite emotional, and you can see how close Reshmi is with her family, especially her mum, who was very emotional. It was a beautiful finish to a very special day.
Reshmi and Karun, thank you SO much for choosing me to be part of your wedding day; it’s been a pleasure getting to know you both, and I cannot wait to share the full set of photographs soon!

The final event was the Hindu wedding and Civil ceremony, which took place at North Mymms Estate, and it was such a fun day to capture with lots of fun, laughter and emotion. This is a small selection of what I captured on the day; I especially love the hugs between everyone, which shows how close both families are. A great start to the 2026 season.

At the majority of my weddings, the reception portraits tend to be taken before the couple’s grand entrance, but I think it’s worth factoring in another quick portrait session during the golden hour when the sun starts to set, as you get some gorgeous colours in the sky.
The warm tones and hazy edges create something extra special when it comes to portraits, so it’s worth factoring in if you’re crazy about sunsets, like I am! The best bit: we only need to be out for 10-15 mins MAX, and that way you’re not missing quality time with your guests.
You might sacrifice a little eating time, but it’s worth sneaking out to get some stunning portraits, and I’ll even let the wedding planners know too;)
At Sonia and Timal’s wedding last year, Shiv (the videographer) and I spent exactly 12 minutes and got some incredible portraits during the golden hour, and this is just a small selection, and we were back before anyone noticed and without having to delay the reception; I’d say it was time well spent.

It is to simply to go with a photographer that you feel you can get a long with on a personal level and get to know them.
Naturally there are many factors when choosing the right photographer to capture your wedding day; their style of photography, editing, cost etc but it’s really important to know your photographer and feel that you can vibe with them and almost see them as a friend or family member for the day.
Your photographer will be with you from the start to end of the day in between you and your loved ones, and you want someone around that you can get along with during all of the rollercoaster of emotions from your day. As a photographer, I want my couples to forget I’m there as this is how I capture the best from their wedding days.

I love compiling my favourite moments from the weddings I’ve photographed each year, and this is something I have been doing since 2015. Going back through each wedding gives me a chance to relive the wedding events and I’m always wowed by what I have had the privilege of capturing during the most intimate moments where emotions truly vary amongst loved ones.
From tears, joy, sadness, stress; all the highs and lows that a wedding day can bring, it’s an honour to be invited into a close circle to witness and capture moments that will last a lifetime and beyond.
To 2025 couples, a HUGE thank you for trusting in my vision when capturing your wedding day. I have fond memories of each wedding I’ve photographed and had a great time with your friends and family. Hi, I’m Sanj. I’m a husband, son, brother, friend, mentor and self titled favourite uncle to my nieces and nephews. I love capturing weddings, which I call my ‘job’. I’ve been running my wedding photography business for over 15 years! Cue the comments that say I don’t look a day over 30 😉
I’m usually a bubbly, positive, chilled-out, quiet person and I can also be a bit extraverted in the right company, especially on shoot days when I’m usually buzzing. (It could be the chai that does this!) I also have my moments when I get annoyed, but I try to let things go easily.
I enjoy going to the gym and yoga classes regularly. It helps me relax, build strength, and gives me energy, although I would love to sleep after a gym session; I guess that’s what 5.30am sessions do!
As much as I love exercising, I’m a self-confessed sugar addict! I love most sweet treats from cakes, gelato, pastries, to say the least! I’m also a fan of a good proper cup of tea, chai, and Americano is my go-to coffee choice.
Speaking of food, my wife (Pinki) and I are big foodies, she inspires me to cook on a regular basis and even though I panic when cook, I actually enjoy the process as I find it relaxing. Eating healthy (as possible) is something we aim to do on a regular basis, but I do love my snacks from time to time, a good packet of crisps with a tea (after a shoot) is my go-to snack, and then I’ll be wanting something sweet to balance the taste buds. I love food too much to have a six pack and I’m fine with that. Pinki and I love traveling abroad. I’ve been lucky enough to visit quite a few places include India, Mauritius, Australia, Latvia, and Mexico.
When I’m on holiday, feeling the heat, seeing blue skies, a sunrise or sunset, swimming in the ocean does it for me! And let’s not forget about immersing in the local culture. I love trying new foods and soaking up the atmosphere of where I am.
