“Yakshagana”, which has been more than just about learning the art form for our entire batch. As we, the students of NSD Bengaluru performed at the 25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav in Nsd Delhi receiving great love, we are indebted to our Guruji Sanjeev Suvarna and his team who have taught and believed in us with love and patience.
“Maya Shurpanakhi” was the character I played and I fall short of words to thank him for choosing me. I have till date had the most fun preparing and performing this character. I feel blessed to have learnt the conventions, nuances, Kannada language of Yakshagana through Guruji and this character. Thankyou NSD Bengaluru for adding Yakshagana in our curriculum and inviting the best teacher for it.
The dancing part of this form was easier because of the rhythm sense inculcated through the practise of Kathak. I would take this opportunity to thank my Kathak Guru as well

Sometimes we are not regularly directed in working towards an art form, be it dancing or acting in my case, but all the hustle that I could do with my capabilities in terms of practise, body work, regime, etc in the last two yrs, helped me to perform in this audition. The difference that the indirect process has brought into my performance temperament is beyond words. I am grateful to God for helping me to be dedicated and being observant of this change.🙏🏻
