That was a cool year.
It started with an op on my left ankle and finished with another on my right 🤦🏻♀️.
In between: lots of climbing trips, plenty of yoga, and I officially started teaching it.🧘🏻♀️
Our gorgeous Poppy joined the family 🐶
Brazil twice 🇧🇷
Eve and I “forced” to embrace beach life in Kalymnos because we were both too broken to climb 🥴
David and I getting stranded on top of a Brazilian mountain 😂 ⛰️
And of course… the usual Vaux adventures 🥰

We’re incredibly proud to welcome Louis Berlin to the ClimbCare family.
Louis’ climbing journey started almost as early as it gets. Introduced to the wall by his mum,, (who also teaches yoga ), climbing has been part of his life from the very beginning.
What began as a hobby turned into something much more serious when, around four years ago, Louis was invited to join a climbing squad — and he’s been fully committed ever since.
Based out of Sheffield, Louis now trains with and is a proud member of the GB Climbing Team for both bouldering and lead.
He’s at the wall most days of the week, balancing bouldering and lead sessions alongside conditioning, mobility, and recovery — a level of dedication that’s already paying off.
His biggest achievement to date is qualifying for the GB U17 team, and his goal for the coming year is clear: to make an international final.
When it comes to climbing style, Louis is drawn to coordination-heavy boulders — dynamic, modern problems that demand precision, confidence, and creativity.
has become his second home, but he also loves climbing on grit and, like many others has a soft spot for trips to Fontainebleau.
Louis represents everything we value: long-term passion, consistency, humility, and a genuine love for the process. We’re excited to support him as he continues to grow, learn, and push his limits on the wall and beyond.
Welcome to the team, Louis — we’re buzzing to be part of the journey 👊 follow his progress

Lots of climbing.
Sport plans… meh (hello dodgy shoulder), but that meant plenty of solo bouldering on grit and way more trad than ever. Feeling the boldest I’ve ever been — Flying Buttress was a proud tick.
Work-wise? Pretty brilliant. Great people, great places — and feeling really grateful for both old friends and new ones along the way.
A huge highlight was February: time with family and getting to soak up a bit of the magic of Brazilian carnival 🇧🇷✨
Plot twist at the end of the year: the “dodgy shoulder” turned out to be a 3cm supraspinatus tear 🙃 now fixed. No climbing until March. Annoying? Yes. Devastated? Surprisingly not.
Been here before. I’ll bounce back.💪😜

Darkest day of the year ✔️
Hard bit done ✔️
It’s all uphill from here, folks ⛰️✨
November was… a lot. Highs and lows all round.
Buzzing to see Louis finally recovering enough to make it to the last European Cup of the season — and actually getting to wear his GB top before it all wraps up! ❤️🇬🇧
On the not-so-fun side… I got that niggly shoulder checked, only to find out there’s a mega tear just hanging out in there. So here’s to the start of a long break 🤕
At least I’ve got Stranger Things to binge while I sulk 😭👉📺
When you connect breath with movement, everything becomes smoother… less gripping, less rushing, more controlled.
It’s the same skill you rely on for those awkward rock-overs, techy slabs, and tense moments on steep ground.
If you want to work on that fluidity, join us for Yoga for Climbers every Wednesday at — 5.45pm and 7pm.
Come move, breathe, and see how it shows up in your climbing. 🧘♀️🧗♂️✨

I’ll be honest… I came away a bit gutted with my climbing and a few of the choices I made out on the mats. And pretending my shoulder wasn’t broken was not my smartest tactic. 😅
But it was so lovely climbing with my family and friends, and I’m really glad I still got to play on some super cool blocs and soak up the atmosphere before going under the knife this week. Little moments like that keep me loving this sport.
Huge well done to everyone who competed, and to the team working away behind the scenes — you put on such a brilliant event every year. What a party. 🙌💥

Whether you're trying to recover faster, move more fluidly, or just want to stop feeling like a stiff brick on the wall, yoga can help.
You don’t need to be flexible, experienced, or even particularly zen to join in. Just bring yourself, and I’ll help you build a practice that fits you (not the other way around 😉).
