I’ve just graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with a Master of Science in Nutrition Education🥲🩵💙🩵⭐️ Almost MORE importantly, I’ve:
⭐️Found peace and freedom with food that allows me to not only achieve all my health goals, but also be the happiest I’ve ever been
⭐️Had the privilege of working with hundreds of people over the years, encouraging others to make better food choices and reflect on the root causes of their eating behaviours
⭐️Become an advocate for women’s health nutrition, amenorrhea, and the importance of nutrition for ovulation and hormonal function, both on social media and in the academic research world
⭐️Built a community (you guys!!!!) of people who want to better themselves through nutrition, find peace with food, and become their healthiest, happiest selves without restriction and through realistic planning and evidence-based behavior change strategies
Words cannot describe how grateful I am to have found such a strong passion for something so early in my life, and for all my friends, family, and everyone who’s followed along with my journey on this account at any point in the last 6 years!
That being said, this journey is farrrr from over. I have THREE more months of internships to wrap up to complete the >1000 hours of supervised practice REQUIREMENT to be eligible to sit the National Registered Dietitian exam! Then I have to PASS that exam (in September🤞) before I can call myself a REGISTERED DIETITIAN🥹 (the dream is coming true!!!)
Aside from the technical stuff, I’m so excited to effectively communicate everything I’ve learned to you all, as a credentialed professional, begin individual nutrition counselling, and support you all as much as I can ❤️
Cannot thank u all enough ⭐️ stay tuned guyyyysss

Contrary to popular belief, ovarian cysts are NOT a hallmark characteristic of this condition!! The term “cyst” in the original name actually was referring to multiple small immature follicles (fluid-filled sacs that contain eggs) that didn’t fully mature and ovulate.
In many people with PCOS, ovulation is disrupted, so follicles can stall in development and accumulate around the ovary, creating the classic “string of pearls” appearance on ultrasound….. not dangerous growths or large pathological cysts.
So, if there aren’t necessarily cysts involved, how does PMOS actually affect women???
PMOS can show up as:
✅irregular/no ovulation which can lead to irregular periods
✅insulin resistance/impaired blood sugar regulation
✅high androgen levels (leading to acne, hair growth/loss)
✅difficulty with weight loss/persistent weight gain
✅fatigue
✅inflammation
✅psychological impacts (low mood, anxiety, disordered eating)
✅risk of infertility
✅poor body image
The old name made it sound like just a “reproductive issue” while so many women like myself have struggled with symptoms affecting our entire body.
Language shapes healthcare!!! So excited to see what the next steps are in this field:)

⭐️ A balanced breakfast helps stabilize energy, mood, and focus (not just hunger)
⭐️ Protein in the morning = fewer cravings + better satiety later in the day
⭐️ Fiber supports your gut microbiome → which impacts EVERYTHING from digestion to mood
⭐️ Eating early can help regulate your appetite cues so you’re not “ravenous at night”
Caffeine doesn’t give you energy, it just changes how your brain perceives fatigue! It blocks the natural build up of our “tiredness” molecule, adenosine, stimulates our nervous system to increase dopamine and adrenaline, and raises our cortisol.
Overall, this leads to MASKING of fatigue, which can lead to:
📉burnout
📉low mood
📉gut health issues
📉hormone imbalances (acne, hair loss, irregular periods, low libido)
📉poor immune function
Don’t get me wrong guys I loveeeeeee coffee!! You dont need to cut it out, you just need to start pairing it with whole foods that give us LASTING energy with valuable nutrients for our wellbeing🤸🏽

IN THE FIELD OF MY DREAMS
#nutritionstudent#dietitian#dayinthelife#triathlontraining#running
I started my studies in Nutrition with a very troubled and complicated relationship with food and exercise that was taking a huge toll on my mental and physical health.
Despite all my interest in nutrition and spending hours trying to find the answers online on my own, there was (and still is) SO much conflicting information and advice.
What is the best diet? Is there even a “best diet”? Should I be doing intermittent fasting? How many meals do we really need a day? What supplements should I take? How much should I be eating? Are food additives bad for you? Why can’t I stop thinking about food?
At the same time, I saw first-hand how proper nutrition could literally transform the lives of individuals and communities, and how food is what literally connects all of us with each other and with nature.
After 6 years of studying and doing research in this field, I’m finally able to answer these questions, and literally none of the answers are what I thought they were (lol).
I’ve applied the evidence to my own life, and have been able to truly heal my relationship with food and exercise, find food freedom, get my period back after 2-3 years of hypothalamic amenorrhea, get my PCOS under control, clear my hormonal acne, and silence my food noise:-)
So excited to bring all this to life
Opening up coaching slots soon too so stay tuned! ❤️

what do you think about?
#nutritionstudent#rd2be#girlswhorun#nycrunning#triathlontraining
Been putting off making this reel for a long time because I had no idea how to “end it”.
So many of these journey-type reels end with the creator living their best life in the present?
Even though I do believe I am presently the healthiest and happiest I’ve ever been simultaneously, inside and out,
I also want to put it out there that I STILL HAVE BAD DAYS! I’ve just come to terms with that just being part of the beauty and richness of life.
Being in the field of healthcare brings its own unique challenges of compassion fatigue (literal exhaustion from putting so much energy into helping others), and I think this account and all my fitness side-quests (First-ever triathlon training!!!! Eek!) are truly what allow me to be so balanced in my approach to both my life and my career.
If any of this resonates with you then join for the journey!! 🫶 I share nutrition insights (from almost 6 years of being in this field!), talk about my PCOS and hormone health journey, and how I balance studying with athletic goals and living a FULL life!⭐️
Health = happiness = more health = more happiness
