Our world has expanded with so much joy, light, and love since baby Lou joined us on 6/11. She had a bit of trouble figuring out the whole breathing thing at first and we had to spend a little extra time at the hospital doing tests and monitoring her o2 levels. We were sent home from the hospital with supplemental oxygen, but she has now gone 24 hours without it and we are so, so proud of her.
Recovery for me has been much smoother than I expected. I’d heard a lot of birth and post-partum horror stories and I was very worried about what it would be like. But, I’m happy to share that I’m doing great and just completely smitten with our little girl 🥹
Thank you everyone for all the caring messages, thoughts, and prayers as we adapt to life with a newborn. Life right now looks messier and sleepier, but we couldn’t be happier. ✨
