Back in June, I styled the Singapore Botanica Kaftan Shirt Dress belted over a black maxi. Fast forward to today, and I’m doing the same thing again—this time with the Cool Sienna dress in pencil grey. Same idea. Different mood.
And then I spotted a very familiar silhouette on Emily in Paris 👀
Belted. Layered. Effortless.
It’s not about trends for me—I’ve always styled intuitively. But it is nice when what you’ve been doing organically starts showing up on screen, styled by professionals with very big budgets.
Moral of the story?
Proof that when you dress instinctively, the trends eventually find you.

Play with layers. Belt it. Mix prints. Trust your instincts.

The Chair Theory made something click for me.
Not because it was new, but because it finally put words to a feeling so many of us have carried quietly.
Sometimes you are left out on purpose.
Sometimes you are not invited while everyone else is.
Sometimes you feel the sting of being the only one standing while others sit comfortably at the table.
And you start questioning yourself.
“Did I do something wrong?”
“Am I not enough?”
“Why does this keep happening to me?”
But my love…
it’s not you.
It’s the table.
Some women will never make space for you, no matter how kind, supportive, or genuine you are.
They won’t pull out a chair for you.
They won’t notice you’re standing.
They won’t think twice about excluding you — and that says everything about them, not you.
Here’s what I want you to remember:
✨ The right people always make room.
✨ They see you. They value you.
✨ Your presence feels natural, not inconvenient.
✨ You don’t have to earn your seat — it’s already waiting for you.
So if you’ve been excluded, take it as clarity, not rejection.
God does not allow certain tables to accept you because He is guiding you toward the ones that are meant for your heart, your energy, your dignity.
Walk away with grace.
Your real chair is somewhere else — and it has your name on it. 🤍

A Collaborative Creation by La Rose X Malik & Wolff
Polished Elegance is your everyday touch of quiet luxury. Born from a unique collaboration between Malik & Wolff and Larose, this dual-purpose oil was inspired by a cherished Chanel hair and body oil I adored from my time in Singapore. As it wasn’t available in the US, we’ve recreated its essence for you.
Crafted with a base of jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, grapeseed oil, and vitamin E, and delicately scented with our own custom blend of essential oils, Polished Elegance gives you a silky, subtle glow that feels like a whisper of luxury on your skin and hair.
By 2000, life took a different turn. I got married, moved to Germany, and soon became a young mum. My dream of becoming a fashion designer was gently placed on the back shelf as motherhood took centre stage.
Makeup artistry came naturally to me, and over the years it grew into a beautiful career — especially in Singapore, where I became known for helping women embrace their natural beauty through personalised makeup lessons and curated shopping sessions.
When I moved to Dallas in 2021 and began wearing hijab in 2022, everything changed again. Clothes I once loved — Zara, Tory Burch, all my favourites — suddenly didn’t sit the same. Necklines felt too low, silhouettes didn’t feel modest, and I constantly found myself adjusting and covering. Dressing modestly and beautifully felt unnecessarily hard.
And that’s when something long-dormant woke up.
The fashion student I once was — the girl who never got to finish what she started — came back to life.
Today, I design modest wear at that is fun, unique, flattering, and makes you feel alive. From joyful prints to elegant solids, from easy silhouettes to statement pieces, there’s something for every woman who wants modesty without losing style.
Just me being me — finally doing what I was always meant to do. ✨

I was never just creating makeup or clothes. I was always crafting confidence.
Born in London, refined in Singapore, and rooted in Dallas, my journey has always been a tapestry of cultures, creativity, and quiet reinvention.
I began as a personal makeup coach — not just applying makeup, but helping women see themselves again. My work took me to the faces of real women and global brands like Sephora, Bloomberg, and Make Up For Ever. Along the way, I launched SCEPTR Cosmetics, a makeup line built on the belief that simplicity and elegance should never be mutually exclusive.
Then, life shifted — countries changed, priorities deepened. What I wore began to matter as much as what I said. So, I did what I’ve always done: I listened to the gap, and filled it with beauty. Malik & Wolff was born — a modest fashion and lifestyle brand where luxury meets storytelling, ethics, and originality.
Now, I design more than garments. I design identities. I give women wearable art infused with cultural heritage, personal empowerment, and creative soul. I don’t chase trends — I honor instincts. That’s why people don’t just wear Malik & Wolff — they belong to it.
Through it all, I’ve remained a builder: of brands, of bridges, of belief in beauty with meaning.
Because I’m not here to be viral. I’m here to be valuable.
And I want others — especially women — to remember:
You can start over. You can be elegant and powerful. You can lead with softness.
And most of all — you can always begin again.

For those of you who know me and have followed my journey, then you'll know that I have always put myself in the service of improving a woman's self-worth, her self-confidence, and cultivating a positive mindset.
I am grateful that I have had many life experiences and I feel this has helped me a lot in my coaching sessions because for some strange reason I am able to resonate with my clients and through my own strength through dealing with my struggles, I help them overcome fears, talk through relationship issues and motivate to make positive changes.
I've had a bit of a journey myself
Before starting my life coaching, I was a very well respected Personal Makeup Coach and collaborated with major brands such as SEPHORA, BENEFIT COSMETICS, MAKEUP STORE, URBAN DECAY, MAKEUP FOREVER, BLOOMBERG TV, and featured in various podcaststurned and featured in many on-line and physical magazines Then became founder of my own Cosmetics brand and featured in HARPER'S BAZAAR SG, EXPAT LIVING, DESTINATION WEDDING, won a few awards and was hand chosen to be part of P&G women's in business cohort 2020.
Moved to Dallas and founded Modest Fashion brand which is still in infancy phases.
This is not covering EVERYTHING, the downs, the crashes, depression due to deep trauma, generational trauma, relationship problems, bullied, self esteem issues growing up, abuse and emotional abuse.
I have a long list of what I've been through, experienced, survived from and I grew from all the negatives and positives.
I realize now why I accidentally fell into life coaching... all those experiences where because someday I would be able to help others with all that I have experienced. This was not my plan, but I feel as if THE DEVINE HAD A PLAN. I'm just following with the best of intentions 🙏
