The energy I feel LEAVING the fiber festival weekend is pure magic and already I can’t wait to be back!! ✨ 250+ classes, fashion shows, a massive 2-floor marketplace with so many treasures beyond all the gorgeous yarn (like the beautiful in background above), meetups, featured artists, VIP events and so much inspiration!!

And yes, those tacos are seriously the best and I need to have them at least 3 times while I’m there. They’re incredible, cheap and less than 3 blocks away if I don’t get lost lol 😅 🌮

So different in style from the other things I’m creating but it feels like it just has to come out. ♥️💙 These mega pencils from instantly brings me to a playful, curious creative place.
🙄 These drawings might be silly, might be cringe, might be obvious, might be an eye roll.
But those things are actually okay (good, even) and I’m glad those things aren’t keeping me from sharing anymore. ✨

- capturing poses quickly using 3d forms of the lungs and pelvis (think I saw it in a book once and I guess it stuck!)
- capturing the moods in photo 2
- first time drawing figures and just super proud of these!
- hair and likeness on photo 3 portrait - maybe not superrrr close BUT ALSO not super far! That’s a win for me lol
Things I’m excited to work on next time:
- limb proportion and musculature
- creating depth by shading a mid tone and pulling out highlights, deepening darks
- holding sheet up for more side by side comparison for proportion check

I’m not afraid to be seen trying anymore. Trying is the whole damn point - it means you care and want to grow!!
So here’s me trying in public. I know I don’t have to share but I’ve sat with it for a long time and it is part of working alongside my fear to share the things I love taking pics and videos of. The thing I’ve been actively avoiding. I’ve been holding on too tight.
There’s still knitting going on but I hope you enjoy growing and exploring with me, no matter the medium.
