Some of you may know that i don’t own the original version, as it’s still owed by my former label, so this new version was a great way that i could reclaim my song whilst creating something entirely new and fresh for the people who really liked the original, as well as the people who connect more with the newer music. If you fit into either of those two categories, i greatly appreciate the saves and shares, it really helps a lot as we indie artists fight against the crazy state of the music industry as it exists today.
Lion was a bit of a transition song, as i was transitioning into the genre that i’ve carved out for myself today, so it’s really rewarding to bring it into this new era with me, as well as use it to herald in the next larger body of work.
