I found this art a thrift store that I loved AND it was the perfect size.
However, the vibrant blue colors were not cohesive on my gallery wall. But I can make this work:
I’ll wipe on two coats of minwax stain with an old sock and let those dry between coats.
Then I’ll go back and apply matte mod podge with a foam applicator in a criss cross pattern, outlining some of the bigger shapes.
Once it dries, I put the art back in the frame without the glass to make it look like a faux vintage oil canvas.
Then I use a tool that makes hanging art a breeze. The art hangs on a hook and once I see where I want it to go, I press a button that puts a tiny hole in the wall where the nail will go. This tool even has a level built in!

Rare find! This item is hard to come by. A single nightstand retails $500-$1400
Before the wood purists come for me, the original dark finish was destroyed and had to be removed. Kept walnut grain visible with a custom blend paint wash. Top coated with clear matte poly. Slight imperfections in the wood add to the beauty of these pieces.
The interior is buffed with all-natural furniture salve that is hemp oil and wax-based without nasty fillers and solvents. Lightly scented with notes of bergamot, Japanese cherry blossoms, lavender, and sage. furniture salve
