Con il mal posizionamento della lingua non solo si spostano in avanti gli incisivi, ma si assiste pure ad un iposviluppo della premaxilla (palato stretto) e a sinusiti ricorrenti, otiti catarrali, ipertrofia adenoidea e tonsillare perché viene a mancare l’azione di drenaggio delle fosse nasali e della tromba di Eustachio per l’assenza di pressione negativa della lingua!
