Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of hosting another Gentlemen’s Night with the wonderful
Ben presented his new book 100 Staple Pieces, and I was particularly delighted to see the Safari Jacket featured as one of the essential pieces every gentleman should know. As many of you know, the Safari Jacket has become very close to my heart, which makes this recognition even more special.
It was a truly memorable evening filled with great conversations, good company, and a shared passion for classic menswear. My sincere thanks go to all customers, friends, and guests who made the event such a success. Special thanks also to for the excellent drinks and to for capturing the evening with her wonderful photographs.
All signed copies of Ben’s book sold out during the event, but a new shipment is already on its way—and yes, more signed copies will be available soon.

I have to admit, I had been looking forward to this day for quite a while.
Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming to the shop. We first met at Pitti Uomo two years ago in Florence, and ever since then I have followed his journey with great interest and admiration.
Having him visit Rudolf Beaufays and take the time to explore the store was a real pleasure. To be honest, I was a little nervous — something you might even notice in the photos — because he is someone whose work and perspective I genuinely find inspiring.
I’m delighted that he finally made it to Hamburg, and I hope you enjoy these moments as much as I did.

now that Father’s Day has passed, I found myself thinking not only about tradition, countryside jackets and old sporting garments — but also about fathers themselves.
My own father was not a hunter.
But he was a strong man. A wonderful man. Quiet in many ways, yet deeply present. Someone who carried responsibility with dignity and strength, without ever needing much attention for it.
Perhaps that is why garments like this old hunting jacket feel so special to me. They remind us of a certain kind of masculinity that feels increasingly rare today — resilience, character, protection, warmth and reliability.
Outside, Hamburg continues to surprise us with rain, wind, sudden cold and fleeting rainbows. Very much like April weather in the middle of May.
And so, it felt like the perfect moment to present this beautiful hunting jacket from the 1980s — complete with cartridge pockets, reinforced details, a classic game pocket and the matching cartridge belt.
A garment made for the countryside, for long walks, for weathered landscapes — and perhaps also as a quiet reminder of the men who shaped us.
To all fathers, and especially to those we carry with us every single day.

today I received the sad news that Bill Hornets has passed away.
Bill was a close friend and an important companion on the journey of establishing and my path into the world of vintage. The last time I visited Bill was in London in 2024, and we had a wonderful time together
I still remember my very first visit with him — eating calamari in a small Italian restaurant in South Kensington, talking for hours and laughing endlessly.
Bill was an incredibly charismatic man with a remarkable presence. Inspiring, just like his store.
I feel deep sadness and I am truly heartbroken about this heavy loss.
Thank you, Bill, for taking me by the hand, for letting me explore your incredible archive, for giving me every freedom one could wish for, for allowing me to pick the most beautiful pieces, and for all the funny conversations we shared over the years.
