Une chaleur insoutenable s’installa dans la chambre à coucher de Mary Rose. Son corps ruisselant de transpiration laissait des traces sur ses draps en lin, ceux que sa mère lui avait offerts pour son mariage. Elle refusa de les changer pendant trois mois, par peur que cela ne lui porte malheur.

Alors, nue dans son lit pendant des jours, elle observait depuis sa fenêtre les branches et les oiseaux communier…
Une étrange mélancolie finit par s’installer.
Teintée d’un regret amer, elle n’arrivait pas encore à mettre le doigt dessus.
Alors l’appétit lui revint. Elle trempa dans un verre de lait froid une tranche de pain brioché rassis.
Ce morceau imbibé de lait froid était comme une douce caresse dans sa gorge.
Elle se réjouissait de pouvoir encore respirer cet air pur,sentir le soleil inonder sa chambre et entendre ces bêlements si familier.

Blázni! « les fous » en tchèque, est le titre de cette série. Elle est dédiée aux cancres, aux révoltés, aux poètes, aux fous, à ceux qui ne se conforment pas. Blázni! propose de les célébrer et d’interroger ce que leur liberté parfois radicale peut nous apprendre.
La scénographie s’inspire des accrochages en salon de 1900: une densité assumée, une profusion presque étouffante, où les œuvres se répondent dans un dialogue serré. Les visages, à peine révélés, nous observent autant que nous les regardons.
Rose Mihman navigue à travers le temps. Depuis très jeune, elle compose dans sa chambre des mises en scène avec des vêtements anciens et des objets chinés; rien n’a changé. La photographe française construit des images comme des tableaux habités
par ses rêveries. Nourrie de peinture et de dessin, elle développe une esthétique aux accents pictorialistes et explore des techniques anciennes comme l’autochrome. Elle s’attache aux êtres et aux objets marqués par le temps et cherche à saisir des instants
