Pour l’anecdote, je n’avais pas prévu de surfer ce jour là parce que je n’ai jamais été intéressé par ce genre de sessions. J’y suis allé pour voir le spectacle (la vue y est magnifique avec les Pyrénées en arrière plan). Mais trop difficile de résister une fois sur place.. 🦅 me rejoint, prend les commandes du jet ski, me prête sa board de tow (planche avec foot straps, alourdie de +ou- 10kg), puis on se place au large au milieu des autres équipages. On tournait en rond depuis un moment, pas simple car tout le monde ne respectait pas forcément les rotations (trop d’excitation mais pas d’agressivité) et je n’allais pas forcer le passage sur un spot que je n’ai jamais surfé. Puis mon copilote de l’extrême m’envoie sur cette belle vague, un peu découpée en deux pics et je me retrouve face à qui était placée plus à l’intérieur. Contrairement à Justine qui prend ce moment au sérieux (à juste titre) et reste ultra concentrée sur la section qui s’apprête à casser à l’extérieur de nous deux, je suis plutôt en mode chill et n’ai qu’une idée en tête: foncer vers l’intérieur pour être au plus prêt de l’endroit le plus critique de la vague!
La suite (pas en image), on croise nos trajectoires et j’oblige Justine à passer derrière moi car elle ne partage pas mon envie d’aller se faire découper à l’intérieur. Malheureusement elle chute, sa planche me frôle, propulsée comme une fusée vers le bas de la vague (un missile russe).
Je termine mon ride seul sans encombre, à la fois très heureux mais un peu navré pour Justine.. Elle me connaît et sait bien qu’il n’y avait rien d’intentionnel. Sorry Juju 😚
Bref, c’était ma première glissade à Belharra l’hiver dernier 🏂 (pas la dernière).
Heureusement j’ai réussi à récupérer ce shot grâce à mon poto 📸
