Thriiled to be stocking “Happy Today”, the third album from guitarist/bandleader long-running ETA IVtet, was recorded live at Lodge Room in Los Angeles on August 20, 2025.

Unleashed by the ever excellent, this fresh entry into the IVtet’s catalog captures Parker and the band – including drummer Jay Bellerose, bassist Anna Butterss, and saxophonist Josh Johnson – on record outside of the now-shuttered Highland Park micro-club ETA for the first time.

A sweet selection of Dialog discs in the racks today. These are the heavy and hazy sounds of a modern vision of dubwise electronic music: Tough, dance-ready beats blend with echo chamber impulses, mellow machine soul and a sub-bass that’ll put the whomp in your whole week.

Fresh from the always intriguing label, “Currents” is ’s second release. Painting landscapes of lush forests canopies, undulating waterways dancing with light and journeys unplanned, the compositions of pianist Oscar France are brought vibrantly to life by a vigorously intuitive jazz ensemble.

Just two copies left of ’s first time on vinyl release of B(if)tek’s trail blazing debut album “Sub-vocal Theme Park”. Originally released in 1996 exclusively on CD, this release includes the original album, plus never-heard-before ‘lost’ tracks from Kate Crawford and Nicole Skelty.

Do not dither.
Confession” is Carla dal Forno’s fourth LP, written and recorded over several years in a small country town, in a studio housed inside a partially abandoned hospital. Long corridors, humming lights, emptied rooms — a place built for care and waiting, now quiet enough for thoughts to echo.

In a number of subtle musical ways, “Confession” recalls the early, “striped-sunlight sounds” of The Go-Betweens and like those early masterpieces by the Brisbane trio, there’s a beguilling disquiet at the heart of these songs.

is former Black Midi bassist/composer Cameron Picton’s dazzling puzzle-box solo debut - a truly intoxicating blend of ornate melodies, post-punk surges amid layered arrangements and vaguely Syd Barrett-esque lyrics created by 22 musicians, 21 singers and nine engineers.
It’s a stunningly virtuosic album and if you grab a copy swiftly we have some SIGNED POSTCARDS as a bonus.

Big thanks to and for the goody gift
For, the “little wide open” is the big sky and the small lives beneath it. Aided by producer plus collaborations with Lucinda William and Justin Vernon as well as contributions from members of Muna, Sylvan Esso, Florence + the Machine and Perfume Genius, “Little Wide Open” prompts positive comparisons with the films of Robert Altman or a number of Raymond Carver short stories. It really is that good.
Yahoos!! Many more filmed interviews done and yet again… I forgot to take photos with half the people 🤦‍♂️

At this point I genuinely think the documentary will end with people saying: “Wow… incredible insights. Shame Damon apparently conducted every interview with half a brain cell.”

Some amazing chats though. PBS Radio peeps, Adam Rudegeair, Owen McKern, Mary Mihelakos were so compelling that I had my car towed while filming 😓

Then I had David Cosma discussing the intersection of sport and music perfectly at Windy Hill! Home of some sort of sports team 😂😘

Then came music journo and Bowie oracle Michael Dwyer, Patrick from Rocksteady Records guarding physical media like the final boss in a collapsing civilisation game, and music mastering super-brained Adam Dempsey lovingly talking about frequencies… and today… I hung out with the magnificently talented Georgia Maq! 🙏

Every single one of them thinking deeply about music, creativity, survival and why musicians continue dedicating their lives to an artform that occasionally rewards them with half a sausage roll and “great exposure”.

This film keeps mutating into this weird philosophical octopus and honestly I no longer know who’s directing who. It’s beautiful! Lucky old me!

’s fifth album, “Train on the Island”, was co-produced with long-time collaborator John Parish and created with a stellar cast of contributing artists.
Combined, they have conjured theatre-like pieces that shift keys and rhythms, slipping sideways or falling away completely.
If you focus entirely on the voice or lyrics, the music will delightfully wrong-foot you. If you attempt to solely hang on the rhythm and melody, mis-heard words will have you playing catch-up.

“Train on the Island” is a fantastic and fascinating tightrope walk. Pole at the ready, make your way to Rocksteady.
