I started this page back in 2016 as a bit of fun and at a time when there were relatively few food blogger's kicking about in Glasgow. When I began, my goal was simple: provide real & honest food reviews. No fluff, no "everything is amazing" for the sake of an invite, just the truth.✌🏼
Watching this page and community grow from a small hobby to over 10k followers at its peak has been an incredible journey. Looking back, I can’t believe it’s been nearly 10 years of sharing meals, honest ratings and local gems with all of you. I'm truly so thankful for the friends I've made along the way and the feedback (good or bad) and suggestions received from you all.
However, the landscape of social media has changed SO much in the last 10 years. It’s become increasingly difficult for small, independent profiles to be discovered, then there's the constant push toward video content which just isn't me. I’ve always been about the food and the photography, not the performance.
To the Glasgow food scene, it has been an absolute privilege scoffing my way through hundreds of restaurants. I’ve watched this city’s culinary map go from strength to strength and I’ve loved every bite along the way. 🍽️ Thank you to the chefs, the staff and most importantly ALL OF YOU for following and trusting my palate for a decade. 🥲🙏🏼
What’s next? Well, while the food reviews are stopping here, I’m not putting the camera down. If you want to follow my adventures and landscape pictures, you can find me over at
Thanks again and stay hungry Glasgow! ♥️
📍: Santa Lucia, Byres Road, Glasgow
🍽: Pizza Piccante ~ Arancino al Ragù ~ Lasagna Fritta ~ Salmone Marinato
📝: I've been visiting Santa Lucia on Byres Road for years, always drawn to their exceptional pasta. But my recent visit revealed an exciting evolution, they've added pizza to their repertoire, and it's fantastic! The restaurant itself is a feast for the eyes before you even see the menu. Once inside you're greeted by a canopy of lush greenery cascading from the ceiling, interwoven with glowing lights and golden citrus fruits. It's like a little slice of the Mediterranean right here in the West End. Now, onto the food. The pizza here isn't your typical Neapolitan style. The dough is incredibly light and airy, with a crisper, drier texture that's utterly addictive. I went for the Pizza Piccante, and the quality of the ingredients shone through in every bite. The base had that perfect balance of crunch and chew, while the salame delivered a nice heat and flavour without overwhelming any other ingredients. But here's where Santa Lucia really surprised me: their fried Sicilian specialties are phenomenal. The arancino was an absolute revelation, a perfectly golden, crispy shell giving way to the most luxuriously moist interior. The ragù with peas was deeply rich and comforting, the kind of filling that makes you close your eyes and savour every mouthful. This is a real arancino done right.👌🏼 We also tried the deep-fried lasagne and salmon. The lasagne was a crispy marvel, maintaining its structural integrity while delivering all those familiar, comforting lasagne flavours in a completely new textural experience. The salmon was also beautifully delicate and plentiful. What impresses me most about Santa Lucia is their commitment to evolution without losing their identity. They've expanded their offering with pizza that stands proudly alongside their renowned pasta, all while maintaining the quality and authenticity that made them a Byres Road favourite! Highly recommend! 🇮🇹✨🍕

📍: Spudbuds, Alloway Street, Ayr
🍽: The Dirty
📝: You know when something goes viral on TikTok and you're skeptical? Well, I finally made it to Spudbuds in Ayr and honestly... the hype is pretty real. ✅ I opted for "The Dirty," a baked potato absolutely LOADED with pulled pork, mac & cheese, hot honey and crispy onions. The flavour combo was kinda sweet, savory and crunchy. Despite the tonne of ingredients, everything just worked. The pulled pork was tender and proper quality, none of that dried-out rubbish and the Mac was cheesy & creamy. Here's the mad part, this thing genuinely DEFEATED me 🤯. As someone with a bottomless stomach, I was genuinely in shock that I could only manage half. The positive though, it did me for dinner afterwards 😂 Now let's talk price - £11 for a jacket potato did make me wince a bit. It's definitely spendy for lunch. But when you see the size of this thing and taste the quality, you kind of get it. You're essentially getting two meals worth. Is it healthy? Hell no. But sometimes you just need something ridiculously indulgent and massively filling, and Spudbuds absolutely smashes it on both counts. If you're in Ayr and fancy something different, this is worth the queue. Just come HUNGRY or bring a pal. Just a warning though, you won't be eating again for the rest of the day if you manage a whole one! 🥔

🍽: Italian Sausage Pizza ~ Pepperoni Pizza
📝: After smashing those legendary loaded fries (see previous post), we dove straight into new pizzas and WOW! They've absolutely nailed them! 🔥
They are now doing PROPER New York style 20" beauties, and the team has brought in some of Glasgow's best pizza chefs to make it happen...and you can really tell! 👨🍳
We went for TWO massive pies:
🍕 ITALIAN SAUSAGE - Italian Sausage, Red Onion, Salami, and Truffle Mayo. The truffle mayo takes this to another level!
🍕 PEPPERONI - Pepperoni with their signature Caramel Sriracha for that sweet & spicy combo 🌶️
These 20" pizzas are PERFECT for sharing (or not, no judgment 😅). The base is spot on, thin & crispy, with the perfect amount of char, which is what you want from a quality NY style pizza. Also in case you were wondering what "Roadie" means, it's a massive slice of pizza you can grab to take home for just £5. Absolute game-changer for a quick bite or late-night snack! Pizza is a new addition to Scran's menu, but they're absolutely nailing it already. Adding pizza to their arsenal of incredible brunch dishes is a seriously smart move! Another easy 5/5! 🫶🏼

🍽: Buttermilk Tenders ~ Burger Loaded Fries ~ Halloumi Loaded Fries
📝: From humble beginnings in Dennistoun to their new flagship spot in the Saltmarket, is continuing to absolutely SMASH IT! 🙌🏼 I've been following their journey since day one, from their legendary brunch & egg dishes to their Barrowlands days, and now their biggest and BEST location yet. The new location is stunning, it has a bright, modern diner feel with so much natural light. They are serving all their classics brunch dishes but now have also added pizza to their game 😋🍕 Today I'm ALL about their classic loaded fries and chicken that made them so famous:
🍗 BUTTERMILK CRISPY CHICKEN TENDERS - Perfectly golden, incredibly juicy, served with Garlic Aioli and their signature Caramel Sriracha. These are UNREAL.
🍔 BURGER LOADED FRIES - Smashed Burger Meat, Secret Sauce, Melted Cheddar, Crispy Onions, and Chives piled HIGH. Pure comfort food perfection.
🧀 HALLOUMI LOADED FRIES - Fried Halloumi Cubes, Sriracha, Spring Onions, and Crispy Onions. The ultimate indulgence!
The portions are MASSIVE (seriously, come hungry!), the quality is consistently outstanding, and these are the classic dishes they've perfected over the years. They still hit different every single time! 🤤 (Tomorrow I'll be talking about their pizza so keep an eye out... 👀)

🍽: Pim Poon Platter ~ Double Prawn Delight ~ Crispy Enoki Mushroom ~ Spiced Ember Beef Stew ~Salt & Chilli Chicken ~ Roasted Char Siu Pork in Honey & Soy Sauce ~ Salt & Chilli Chips
📝: The lovely people at invited me along to their Bishopbriggs restaurant and it lived up to the hype! From the moment we walked in, the interior took my breath away! 🥢 Modern, elegant design with real attention to detail that sets the perfect atmosphere for a special meal. The food? Outstanding! We ordered the Pim Poon Platter to start, packed with Peking ribs, duck spring roll, chicken satay, salt & chilli wing and prawn toast. Every element was perfectly executed. The Double Prawn Delight was a clever twist, pairing crispy prawn toast with a chilled prawn cocktail. But the absolute star of the night was the Spiced Ember Beef Stew. This dish reminded me of a Malaysian-style stew with incredibly rich flavours and melt-in-your-mouth tender beef, slow-braised in aromatic coconut curry with roasted eggplant.😋 Served with gua bao on the side which was perfect for dipping. We also tried the Crispy Enoki Mushrooms (delicate and addictive), Roasted Char Siu Pork, and their Salt & Chilli Chicken with chips. Everything was fresh and beautifully prepared. Yes, it's pricier than your average Chinese restaurant, but the quality justifies it for a special occasion. Top tip: They do unlimited tapas Mon/Tue/Sun, plus great value midweek lunch and weekend brunch menus. Perfect if you want to try the place without the full à la carte prices. I-Chai truly showcases authentic Chinese and Asian cuisine with a contemporary edge. I'm already planning my next visit. 🇨🇳

📍: Zeus, Alexandra Parade, Glasgow
🍽: Greek Salad ~ Skepasti ~ Souvlaki Skewers
📝: Zeus recently moved in a shiny new East End location after their move from Maryhill, and I've been looking forward to checking out their new place. We started with their Greek Salad, which featured generous portions of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and a beautiful block of feta topped with oregano. Simple but done right. The star of the show? Probably their legendary skepasti! I think this is the only place you can get skepasti in Glasgow, think of it like a Gyros Quesadilla 🤤 Melted cheese, fresh tomatoes, mustard mayo, and skinny fries all sandwiched between two warm, fluffy pita breads. Pure Greek comfort food that hits every craving. We also tried their Chicken Souvlaki Skewers, perfectly juicy chicken with that signature lemon mustard sauce, served with warm pita, fresh mixed salad, and creamy tzatziki on the side. What impressed me most? The portions are massive for the price point. This is proper value eating without compromising on quality. It's casual, quick, and unpretentious - exactly what good street food should be. Zeus delivers authentic Greek flavours with generous portions at fair prices. 🇬🇷

🍽: Pistachio & Raspberry Buttermilk Pancakes
📝: 🌟 ANOTHER SNEAK PEEK STUNNER! 🤤 I'm still buzzing from my preview of the brunch menu at and I HAVE to tell you about their incredible Pistachio & Raspberry Buttermilk Pancakes I also tried! This dish was pure magic on a plate, fluffy buttermilk pancakes that were so light they practically melted in my mouth with toppings that took these to another level entirely! Picture this....silky drizzled pistachio sauce, vibrant raspberry compote that pops with flavour and maple syrup bringing everything together in perfect harmony. Fresh raspberries scattered around like little jewels, crushed pistachios adding that perfect crunch, and mascarpone cream adding even more decedence 🤤🤤🤤 And they went to the next level with Callebaut pistachio and white chocolate garnish! Yup, we're talking premium Belgian chocolate here, people. 😻🍫 The attention to detail was incredible. Every bite was a perfect balance of textures and flavours, the nuttiness of the pistachios playing beautifully with the tartness of those ripe raspberries, all sitting on pancakes that were honestly some of the fluffiest I've ever experienced. When this weekend brunch menu launches, this needs to be in your order. Trust me on this one! 🥞👌🏼

🍽: Traditional Turkish Breakfast ~ Romesco Eggs
📝: 🌟 EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK! I was lucky enough to be invited to for a special preview of their brand new brunch menu, and let me tell you, Glasgow is NOT ready for what's coming! ☕️✨ This is classic "don't judge a book by its cover" kinda place. Th location might be tucked away on the ground floor of an office block in Glasgow's business district, but Honest Grains is about to revolutionise weekend brunch with their epic Turkish cuisine, plus specialty coffee by Thomson's. I got to experience their new menu as the kitchen perfected their craft, and WOW, what a privilege! The Traditional Turkish Breakfast was an absolute feast, think small plates paradise with olives, creamy cheeses, silky Kaymak, date molasses & tahini that dreams are made of, jam, fresh Turkish salad, and an incredible variety of fresh Turkish breads. We went for the Menemen as part of the breakfast (because obvs) and it was perfection on a plate. All served with proper Turkish tea that transported us straight to Istanbul! 🇹🇷 The Romesco Eggs were an absolute revelation too - two perfectly poached eggs nestled on house-made romesco yogurt with harissa that had just the right kick, beurre noisette adding that nutty richness, fresh herbs, crunchy dukkah, and Turkish bread that was basically edible heaven. The quality here is next level - you can taste the love and authenticity in every single bite. This is proper food made by people who genuinely care about what they're serving, and watching the team perfect each dish was lovely to witness. When thile weekend brunch menu officially launches, you need to be there! Trust me, clear your calendars - this is going to be one of the best brunch destination in Glasgow! 🙌🏼

🍽: Sourdough bread with whipped hollandaise butter ~ Boquerones and gremolata ~ Fried ratte potatoes, Thai basil mayonnaise, parmesan ~ Burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes, orange dressing, crispy prosciutto, nectarines & basil ~ Char siu pork belly with a sesame and shallot crumb, pineapple hot sauce and a carrot, cucumber and chilli salad ~ Fried chicken thigh tossed in peach hot honey sauce, bread & butter picked cucumber and toasted gruyère cornbread
📝: This West End brunch legend has quietly started doing dinner service and I'm here for it! The space transforms beautifully at night, all moody lighting and relaxed energy, perfect for lingering over good wine. Their compact but carefully curated sharing menu (around 12 plates plus daily specials) is perfectly designed for exploring. We paired everything with a crisp French Vermentino and our knowledgeable server made the evening flow seamlessly. The standout dish? That char siu pork belly was absolute perfection, with a balance of sweet, salty, and umami. But honestly, sometimes it's the simple things that hit hardest. The heirloom tomatoes with that sourdough reminded me why quality ingredients are EVERYTHING. 🤤 Every plate showed real thought and execution. Also loves those crispy ratte potatoes with Thai basil mayo, they were so addictive, and don't get me started on that peach hot honey fried chicken with all the fixings. At £43 pp, it's fair pricing for this level of quality and creativity. Cottonrake has successfully expanded beyond brunch without losing what makes them special, that perfect balance of comfort and sophistication. 👌🏼
