So great to be back in Istanbul. Thanks to for inviting me to be part of the podcast. It was also a pleasure to meet
It turns out cows are remarkably tolerant of FPVs. Idylic setting not far from Iringa in Tanzania. Great shoot creating a promotional video for.
Hands down the biggest project I’ve ever worked on. I was commissioned to make 11 flow motion sequences exploring the soundscapes of locations as diverse as the Queensland rainforest in Australia, the Antarctic ice shelf, dunes in Namibia and tropical coral reefs.

‘Imagine embarking on a global adventure, not through the sights, but the sounds of our planet.’ Apple TV+’s latest documentary series, Earthsounds. This series sets itself apart by focusing on the intimate and often unheard natural symphonies of Earth.

Great to see this project for live.
I’m off to a red carpet event (red carpet not expected). Excited to attend the screening of the final #planetearth 3’ episode titled 'Humans'. I had the incredible opportunity to work on an opening sequence, which takes viewers on a journey from the skies above Hong Kong, in a Cessna airplane, to the bustling streets of Tokyo. A massive thank you to my friend and colleague, Ed Hollingsbee, for his dedication in perfecting the Cessna shot.
I often get asked, ‘What is the most amazing thing you've worked on?’ The answer, hands down is BBC Planet Earth II, with the opportunity to work on the Cities episode. The first time I heard Sir David Attenborough's iconic narration over footage I had captured, very cool.
So here we are, a few years later, and I've also had the opportunity to work on two sequences for #PlanetEarth3. The first one is part of the Deserts and Grasslands episode, which was broadcast in the UK last week. The sequence starts around the 26-minute mark in the episode. It’s a mixture of some amazing drone footage of vast herds of wildebeest and flooding in Botswana (captured by ), an extended time-lapse captured by Tim Shepherd Studios (guys I’ve wanted to work with for about forever), and amazing archive shots of predators hunting and failing to catch their prey. Being a lion is hard work, after all, it seems.
How are you guys finding?
For those in the UK - don't miss the second episode of #wildisles tonight at 7pm, narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough. I had the incredible opportunity to work on a segment showcasing the fascinating world of fungi, alongside the talented creators at #hellocharlie, who produced some truly stunning CG visuals.
This project was particularly special for me as it was my first major production since the pandemic began. We filmed for several years at the breathtaking #minsmere nature reserve, located just a few hour's drive from me. With so many shoots being cancelled, having a nearby location was a blessing. Being able to witness the changing seasons and capture footage from the same location was magical. There's nothing quite like the feeling of flying an FPV drone through a forest. It gives you a glimpse into what it might be like to soar through the treetops like a bird!
