It’s been restored, and loved — not because it’s rare or precious, but because it feels like me.
I saw it and knew I had to save it.
Christmas is a strange time. I love it but I always feel conflicted and take time to pause, and understand why I feel guilty for enjoying the holidays.
I feel deeply grateful for warmth, safety and the freedom I have — and at the same time, I am very aware that this isn’t the reality for everyone.
For a long time now, I’ve been reframing luxury because it’s not about having more. For me, it’s about understanding privilege — and using our position with care, thought and responsibility towards others.
A few more posts to follow on stories to share some key resources to help others this Christmas…
Wishing you a restful break. ✨

It’s quite a long video!
Google’s new Try It On tool is a glimpse into the future of intentional shopping — and used well, it could transform how we discover our personal style and how independent sustainable brands get seen.
Working as a sustainable stylist — and as an ambassador for sustainable brands — I didn’t expect much from this tool in terms of helping over-consumption.
But after testing it, here’s what stood out…
✨ Visibility for sustainable brands could increase. Independent designers without big budgets finally have a fairer chance of being discovered.
✨ It could curb impulse buying.
I “tried on” a sparkly vintage dress I loved… and instantly knew it wasn’t me.
✨ It can support sustainable decision-making. Fewer mistakes. Fewer returns. More clarity.
📌Notes on using it:
• Take a really good fit photo wearing tight clothes that show off your body shape.
• Scroll past the sponsored links
• Click product images + look for the Try It On button
• Use detailed keywords (especially for sustainable or preloved pieces)
• It’s an inspiration tool, not a fit tool so try shapes that you know are likely to work well with your body’s proportions
• NB. Your photo stays private — it’s not stored
It’s designed to be social so you can share your looks with friends.
It works best when you know your colours, silhouette and Style DNA — that’s when you can truly see what aligns.
Will you ‘try it on’?
Please help amplify small business and sustainable brands by posting your try it on pictures (tag me for a repost!)
Thanks to for letting me explore the tool ahead of release.

My 231 photos arrived within 2 hours ⚡️of my shoot finishing (available in both black & white and colour)
What can I say other than - you MUST try it!
I had a great experience and will definitely return.
Thanks to POSE, I was able to indulge in a little me time…
Last night was all about me.
Self-reflection.
My growth.
My story.
My outfits.
My new chapter energy✨
Upon arriving I was greeted with a smile and directed to my private studio space, offered a drink, and given a steamer. I was given a quick briefing on where to stand - and then it was all me!
Pose studios provide:
A mirror.
One clicker.
A hidden camera.
And the rest is down to you!
If you struggle for ideas Pose even provide an iPad with poses for inspiration.
Those of you following me for a while will know I much prefer being behind the camera directing shoots, posing my clients or showing models how to stand - rather than ME being the subject.
This experience was great for me to practice my own skills on myself. I really truly enjoyed it - even if I’m not smiling a lot in my pictures!
What I loved about my time at Pose is that this felt like a perfect opportunity to showcase my evolving style, connecting my inner power to my poses and point of view.
Naturally, I’m wearing vintage, sustainable luxury brands or preloved. Because nothing makes your feel more powerful than wearing your values AND capturing the moment with a Pose 📸
📍Location:
POSE Self Portrait Studio
65 Alfred Road, Studio 205, Great Western Studios, W2 5EU
10-mins from Royal Oak tube line.
Now, I need to decide which pictures to use…
Let me know which are your favourites?

The Sustainable Stylist, Style & Identity Expert
London based values led style coaching for women.
Why roots matter.
Why integrity matters.
Why the work matters.
Attending the TAMMAM Camden Catwalk and the Oxfam Style of Change show this year brought everything full circle ⭕️
They grounded me in the early days of my journey - long before “sustainable style” became a trend or a talking point.
I will always champion independent designers, preloved treasures, upcycling, craftsmanship, materials, and the innovators shaping the ethical fashion community. That part of my story is foundational.
It taught me how to see fashion differently, how important creativity and personal connection is, and to value craftsmanship, longevity, and how to connect style with identity and purpose.
But as I’ve evolved, so has my brand - and so has my vision.
What you’re witnessing is a quiet, natural evolution: a shift into something more elevated, more refined, and more aligned with who I’ve become now. I’m in my mid-forties, my energy and my focus has changed - I’m not chasing the same things…
For over ten years I have lived, breathed, tested, explored and styled sustainably made pieces - seeing what truly lasts, what holds its shape, what carries its value, and what genuinely supports the women who wear it.
That lived experience has shaped where I’m heading next.
And now, as a new chapter is unfolding for Roberta Style Lee and EBD:
one centred around craftsmanship, heritage, and heirloom-quality pieces… I feel centred, energised, excited and aligned.
I will always have space in my heart for independent brands and ethical innovation. That will never change. I will always make time for supporting new founders.
But the conversation is evolving…and so am I.
LFW 2025 was about honouring where I began… and 2026 is all about elevating where I’m going.
I’d love to know when your journey began. ✨

Because true luxury isn’t about trends — it’s about alignment.
Pre-loved is powerful.
It caters to every style taste - it can be luxury, sophisticated, polished, edgy, colourful or cool.
It can be whatever you want it to be.
Your style should never be defined by trends - it should be defined by you.
As your body changes, your lifestyle evolves, and life shifts, your wardrobe should grow with you… without compromise.
Over the past decade, I’ve learned how to style myself sustainably, building a wardrobe that fits my life while still giving me the premium quality and polish I seek.
When I first leaned into pre-loved, I thought it might feel like a sacrifice. But I discovered something else entirely: it’s liberating.
There’s a big difference between making do and investing in better.
Most of my wardrobe today is pre-loved, chosen with care and full of stories.
The 20% I buy new, I invest in responsible brands that align with my values.
That balance gives me the best of both worlds: sustainability, elegance, a little bit of edge and true self-expression.
Because style isn’t about what’s new. It’s about being true to you.
Outfit details:
- Pre-loved Levi’s flares (Vinted),
- Navy waistcoat bandeau (sustainable brand)
- Vintage chain belt (styling archive)
- Vintage premium navy blazer
- Preloved pink handbag (styling archive)
- Pre-loved ankle boots (styling archive)
Absolutely nothing new was purchased to created this look 🪄 all items worn on repeat but this was a first of this combination!
After several disasters with outfits getting lost and my corset not being ready in time - I managed to pull together this simple (but very me) outfit for the LFW Oxfam x Vinted Runway Show, styled by Bay Garnett (Part of Oxfam’s Style for Change campaign).
How did I do!!??? ✨

For me, sustainable style has never been about rules or restriction. It’s about alignment.
When what you wear reflects your values, you feel powerful, present and unapologetically you.
Shopping secondhand doesn’t have to mean sacrifice. It’s doesn’t have to feel cheap and budget friendly.
From designer brands to unknown labels to rare vintage… I LOVE sourcing high-quality preloved pieces - for myself and my clients too.
So this is why every year I support #secondhandseptember
A few reasons (other than finding unique gems 💎) why it’s worth shopping secondhand:
The fashion industry is producing over 100 billion garments a year and discarding more than 92 million tonnes of them.
Behind every number is unnecessary waste and overproduction, ecological damage, and human exploitation. Discarded clothing often ends up in low-income countries.
➡️ How can we prevent this from getting worse?
Well, we must demand change through policies and regulations- which means writing to our MPs, protesting and utilising what already exists, and simply reducing the demand for ‘more’…
Slowing down, choosing secondhand first, and rewearing what already exists is one of the simplest things we can do. And not just for September but every time we shop. Supporting charities like means our impact goes further - helping more people in need.
It’s not just about reducing your environmental impact — it’s about reclaiming style on your own terms.
Shopping preloved means you can bypass trends and focus on forever pieces - a much smarter way to shop.
Secondhand isn’t second best. It’s where creativity thrives.
It’s how you build a wardrobe that’s personal and deeply luxurious — because true luxury isn’t about excess.
It’s about quality & alignment.
This carousel showcases outfits built with pre-loved pieces, to show how repeating, re-styling and re-imagining your wardrobe doesn’t have to feel restrictive.
There’s no sacrifice - in fact, there’s only more to gain.
➡️ How much of your wardrobe is sourced secondhand?

#SustainableLuxury #WearYourValues #100Wears #SlowFashion
For too long, styling has been about surface-level confidence. Look good, feel good, do good. (Yes, I used that strap-line once too).
But now? AI can tell us what to wear. So what’s left?
Identity.
When what you say, do, and wear don’t align, the cracks show in your confidence and in how others perceive you.
Sometimes it feels like imposter syndrome… but often it’s just dissonance.
In a world shaped by AI and noise, surface-level “authenticity” is now meaningless.
What inspires me is depth, moral clarity, values - and a real sense of identity. I’m drawn to people who radiate this or aspire to be this way.
That’s why playing it safe is the new risk. Neutrality is invisible. And invisible doesn’t inspire trust, it doesn’t shift anything, or change the status quo.
For me, sustainable fashion has never been just eco-fabrics, outfit repeating or secondhand shopping. It’s about people. It’s about planet. It’s about human dignity and respect - and when those are selective, it isn’t dignity or respect at all.
That’s why I founded in 2017: to move the conversation beyond consumption. If we care about who makes our clothes, we must also care about war, displacement, and human suffering created by man.
Our ethics can’t stop at where we shop.
The truth? Flying the sustainability flag alone isn’t enough anymore. It’s repetitive. It’s safe. And it’s boring. 🥱
I’ve outgrown those spaces.
My work now connects style identity with global ethics - because style without substance is empty, and identity without authentic values is just branding.
My clients are seeking more alignment and inner transformation - not just cute outfits.
🎟️ I’ll be unpacking more on style identity and AI at annual conference (open to stylists and image professionals).
So tell me did this inspire you or make you uncomfortable? Or both?

Look 1: worn as intended, simple belt, unbuttoned a little at the top and bottom of the shirt.
This is a true Classic Archetype outfit. A simple minimalist option for those who like a tailored yet fuss free look.
You could also wear with flat sandals or trainers, or add a jumper in a contrasting colour across your shoulders for extra styling interest.
Dress: (new)
Bag: (old)
R Necklace (old)
Shoes (new)
Look 2: collar turned in to create a plunging v-neck, sleeves rolled up and the belt used to create a neck tie.
This instantly transforms the dress and the energy - making it more dressy and a little sexier!
Look 3: a slightly cuter version making a bow at the back which enhances the curves, but losing the neck tie makes it a little less sexy IMO.
I accessorised with a white bag & heels (both super old)
The Blue Linen Shirt Dress - A Perfect 👌🏼long-term addition to my wardrobe for event season, garden parties & outdoor events for the British Summer Season. 🍓🍾🎾
*Dress gifted as part of a collaboration.
*Shoes also gifted.
Everything else reworn on repeat and many years old.
Style isn’t about having lots of outfits but rather knowing how to style what you have in multiple ways.
