I get asked this question a lot and the answer may surprise some people.
It is not a complicated answer.
We arrived in Puerto Vallarta with 6 suitcases and our cat.
No storage locker in Canada. Everything else was gone.
Closed by businesses.
Sold our home fully furnished.
Sold or donated everything else.
We had no real plan and our journey was not without challenges, but we were expecting that.
At the end of the day, maybe our story will inspire someone else in a small way, to follow a dream or two.
It’s never too late to start over, there is no such thing as a perfect time.

I get asked about our move quite a bit, here is our story👇🇨🇦🇲🇽.
It was during the height of the pandemic, which was hard on everyone.
For us, we had some additional challenges.
I had my second small heart surgery.
My wife had major spinal surgery and we lost my mother and a lifelong friend at 51 years old.
We decided right then, that life is just too short to have any regrets, so we decided to go for it.
Let’s sell everything we own and follow our Mexico Life dream.
In 8 weeks, we sold or donated everything we owned and arrived in Puerto Vallarta with 6 suitcases and our cat.
No real plan, only a short term rental (that ended up being a disaster), we knew we’d figure it out.
Our journey was not without challenges, but we went into this expecting that.
Hopefully, at the end of the day, maybe our story will inspire someone else in a small way, to not to let anything hold you back from following a dream or two.
It’s never too late and you’re never too old.
