In taking the lead on this project, I felt it 100% necessary for there to be multiple Black and POC artists, working on several representations of different skin tones, in order to better start to show, the richness of diversity that can be found in tattooing over here. Black and brown people contribute to tattooing, and we know that representation matters. Black British history is important, our stories should be included. It has been a real honour to work on this, I’m very grateful.
The biggest of thanks to for curating, but also for all of their support throughout the whole process.
I had a great time down in Cornwall this passed weekend, seeing the exhibition and celebrating.
