Ja, genau das passiert hier.
In diesem weißen Kadett soll später ein C30SE rein.
Dafür muss im Motorraum erstmal ordentlich Platz geschaffen werden.
Motor raus, alles zerlegt und einmal genau reingeschaut.
Dabei haben wir leider Riefen und Rostfraß in den Zylindern entdeckt.
Also bekommt der Motor jetzt ein kleines Upgrade:
➡️ Schmiedekolben
➡️ Haarschaft-Pleuel
➡️ Eine leichtere Sportnockenwelle
Am Ende kommt die Serienansaugung wieder drauf und natürlich wird das Ganze bei uns auf dem Prüfstand abgestimmt.

Der Steinmetz Commodore A war einer dieser Opel, die gezeigt haben, wie viel Motorsport-DNA in der Marke steckt. Aus einem eleganten Sechszylinder-Coupé wurde bei Steinmetz ein kompromissloser Tourenwagen, der breiter, lauter, schneller und deutlich aggressiver als das Serienmodell war. 🏎️
Dieser Nachbau bekommt eine 3-Weber-Vergaseranlage auf dem 2.8 CIH, welche bei uns auf dem Prüfstand abgestimmt wird. 🔥
Zudem werden wir die komplette Sonderabnahme für das Fahrzeug übernehmen. ✅

Zum Steinmetz Commodore haben wir genau diese Frage öfter bekommen.
Der Motor ist frisch aufgebaut und hat noch keine Laufleistung. Deshalb haben wir bewusst noch keine Volllastabstimmung gemacht.
Aktuell haben wir:
➡️ Die Weber-Vergaser synchronisiert
➡️ Den Wagen auf dem Prüfstand bis 4.500 U/min abgestimmt
➡️ Die TÜV-Sonderabnahme erledigt.
👉 Nach 1.000 km Einfahren kommt das Prüfstandsvideo. Versprochen.

Dieses wunderschöne Opel Kadett C Coupé aus der Pfalz ist bei uns am Start.
Den Motor kennt ihr vielleicht noch
Dieser wurde einmal komplett überholt, nachdem die alten CIH Kolben eher wie Aschenbecher aussahen als wie Kolben.
Jetzt steckt hier quasi ein neu aufgebauter Motor drin mit 45er Vergaser
Das Fahrzeug wurde jetzt vom Kunden 1000 km mit mineralischem Öl eingefahren und heute erfolgt die Umstellung auf Motul 300V.
👉 Danach heißt es ab auf den Prüfstand und soviel sei gesagt: Das wird richtig Spaß machen 😏

Das Aggregat kam zu uns für eine komplette Motorrevision mit der Besonderheit, dass aufgrund der Bohrung spezialangefertigte Übermaßkolben verbaut wurden. Zudem mussten wir den Zylinderkopf wegen Wasserfraß an den Kanälen neu schweißen - und das Endergebnis kann sich sehen lassen♥️!
Jetzt bleibt nur noch die Frage:

Neben neuen Zündkerzen wurde eine Grill-Blende verbaut und dazu noch ein paar kleinere Arbeiten getätigt. Damit ist der Wagen bereit für die anstehende Saison. ✅🏁
Aber wie steht ihr zum sog. „bösen Blick“ – Aufwertung für’s Fahrzeug oder nicht? 🤔
