I just kept trying things. Failing. Learning. Starting over. Chasing instincts that didn’t always make sense at the time.
And somehow, every wrong turn, every weird job, every risk, every setback… slowly led me here.
Directing my first feature film in the mountains of Italy.
Still surreal to even type that.
Also, I have no idea why this behind-the-scenes photo makes me look like I’m about to announce the next billion-dollar Hollywood franchise instead of trying to survive an indie horror shoot held together by coffee, stress, and pure stubbornness. 😂
But honestly… I’m grateful for all of it.
To every person who believed in me, supported me, worked beside me, and pushed me forward when things felt impossible… thank you.

And honestly, thank you also to the people who didn’t believe in me. The ones who doubted me, underestimated me, or thought this dream was unrealistic.
You helped shape me too.
Life is strange.

Making Hollowed was one of those moments.
For weeks, surrounded by the mountains of Italy, we lived inside this film together. Freezing mornings in the wilderness, endless days inside an ancient church and a centuries-old palace that slowly became part of the soul of the story itself.
Watching Michael Maggi, James Faulkner, Magda Apanowicz, Kellan Rhude, Alexandra Boulas and this incredible cast disappear into these characters every day was honestly surreal.
And behind every frame was a crew that gave absolutely everything they had. People pushing through exhaustion, cold, pressure, impossible schedules, and constant challenges with passion, resilience, and belief in what we were creating together.
And there were moments where I would stop in the middle of set, look around at the cameras moving through candlelit corridors, the actors standing in costume inside these ancient locations… and genuinely struggle to believe this was real.
A few months ago, someone told me making this film the way we envisioned it would have been objectively impossible.
Guess who was wrong.
This is my first feature film, and I could not be more grateful to every single person who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life.
A huge thank you to the people of Civita d’Antino for welcoming us and allowing us to turn such a beautiful and historic place into the world of Hollowed.
And finally, thank you to my wife for believing in me even during the moments where everything felt impossible.
I will never forget this experience.
