So great to return to, an excellent Chinese spot in Flatiron specializing in Hangzhou cuisine, for their new coconut guava shaved ice. The solid food here is well-executed, and it's easy to see why they have many locations in China. Got some dishes we really enjoyed last time, as well as some new ones! Chic decor with cool art as well. Dish details coming soon!
is a great sushi omakase option for the whole family in Long Island! A beautiful bar up front, and a hidden reverse speakeasy sushi counter in the back, serving up high quality seafood flown in from Japan. Highly recommend! 🍣
I've been a long time fan of Chef 's delicious creative Thai food and it was so great to have his food once again at this one-day popup collab with at. These two talents previously worked together at BKK and created a fun reunion menu of collab dishes for this special event. Chef Joy recently took over the helm at and her menu is fantastic — I can't wait to return to try more! Excellent cocktail program as well.

Another best meal of 2025 I absolutely need to share (as I slowly catch up on this Vietnam trip!) was my birthday feast at! Although we did not have the Butter Chicken Experience, this was hands down one of the best Indian meals I've had outside of India. And not surprising as one of the best openings last year from the same team that brought you Semma and Dhamaka (and also!) Loved all the show stopping tableside presentations of the outstanding dishes that were both entertaining and delicious. A huge heartfelt🙏to Chefs and for making this such a special birthday meal.
Sound on to hear many of the descriptions!

* video montage of the gorgeous interior design, chefs, tableside action
* more awesome presentations of dishes, including the cauliflower and wagyu kebabs
* table delivered chaat

A bit late with the #RGrundown this week (as I was on a 30-hour journey traveling to Vietnam), but for this special lookback I wanted to share one of my favorite new openings of 2025 —. Although it's bittersweet that Chef 's two other iconic Peruvian spots closed this past year, we are fortunate to have his newest iteration with delicious Nikkei food in Hudson Yards. I went back to Papa San for the second time for a Hallow's Eve party that flew in for (they created their cocktail menu) and before a night of Godzilla themed festivities, we enjoyed an excellent dinner. I love everything from the branding, to the decor, to the drinks to the food here — if you haven't been yet, I highly recommend.
* had to order this super delicious picanha steak donabe bowl over rice with ikura and a beef broth you pour over every bite
* red shrimp ceviche with kabocha squash and quinoa

* video montage of the Godzilla party
* drinks! Fun spooky themed drinks by from Argentina plus some tasty natural wine
* godzilla himself
* yakitori of the Chicken Experience with different sauces
* crispy chicken skin covered in spices
* loved these skate cheeks with nori and kabosu aioli
* Spanish octopus ceviche with crispy squid and togarashi
* closeup of the red shrimp ceviche
* squid udon pre-mix
* shrimp tempura Maki roll with coconut
* bok choy and apple salad
* love the Llama branding
* chicken skin dip
* oyakodon as part of the chicken experience with fluffy eggs and umami sauces 😋

If you haven't been to Papa San yet you're missing out!
On this final Wellness Wednesday of 2025, and right when we're all planning our resolutions for next year‼️, I wanted to share how I lost 10 lbs in only a month NOT on Ozempic, but a diet supplement program from in Korea.

After a debilitating summer knee injury I've had to limit exercise to recover and since my full time job involves a lot of food, it became a challenge to maintain balance while still enjoying my travels and the foods I love.

I booked a visit to the ultra modern Plan S Clinic in Gangnam easily thru and opted to try EmSculpt (apparently celebrities use this before photo shoots!), and a consultation for their famous diet weight loss supplements.

I lost 10+ pounds in about a month, even while traveling and eating my way through Spain! A story I posted about my progress garnered a lot of attention, so I got the explanation direct from:

"The clinic’s weight loss medication is personally customized to each client’s condition and needs, medically approved and safe.
For basic weight loss, the medication may include appetite suppressants, fat burners, binge eating suppressants, satiety enhancers, and agents to prevent side effects. Additional options, such as fat absorption inhibitors or exercise support medications, may be included to achieve greater results.
This carefully formulated medication naturally helps reduce your food intake, supporting the breakdown of accumulated fat in your body.
Because the medication is tailored to each individual, its composition may vary from person to person to ensure the most effective and safe results."

Honestly I was shocked how easy it was to shed pounds, without feeling sick or nauseous, and still be able to enjoy food — something very important to me. I was quite active and it gave me energy (there's caffeine in one pill). I'm so glad introduced me to this supplement program — it's motivated me to try to get back down to my pre-injury weight.

Himedi acts as a liaison to book beauty and wellness treatments during your trip to Korea with vetted quality clinics, helping you navigate a potentially stressful endeavor. Highly recommend!
I HAVE to tell you about the unique #Vietnamese dishes at the #MichelinGuide recommended and #WomanOwned! The menu is split between #StreetFood and the cuisine of 3 regions in #Vietnam - Hue ancient royal food, Hanoi authentic traditional dishes and Saigon bold modern flavors.

There are no spring rolls, pho noodle soup or banh mi to be found here — instead owner has decided to focus on lesser known / hard to find dishes of her country, that I myself have only seen in San José, SGV or Vietnam. Although NY was home to many immigrant cultures, there wasn't much of a community here until recently, like those that formed in Philly, VA, Houston, Seattle, Denver and CA. So being able to have these special dishes right here in the is a real treat!

I loved the whole Hue menu of apps - we ordered all but one and would 💯 want these all again next visit, plus the one we missed 😋. Sad to have missed out on Tet banh chung, but consoled by banh it ram crispy mochi dumplings, which essentially are the bite size version of this pan crisped sticky rice cake traditionally eaten on LNY. The steamed rice cakes were excellent, as were the turmeric coconut cupcakes which resembled mini with. Housemade sauces were conveniently available in mini squeeze bottles.

More modern takes include the lemongrass with rice cracker, and a play on a French dip of with broth to dip. The cup of flavorful pho broth was drained like a shot down to the very last drop.

I got to try the original cha ca la vong dill grilled fish in Hanoi, and Van Da's version with branzino over rice noodles is quite tasty especially with a drizzle of fermented shrimp sauce. We ended with the cubed, and flan and coconut tapioca pudding for.

Service was very gracious and owner Yen, having worked as a chef in fine dining herself, was genuinely warm and welcoming. We literally haven't stopped talking about how delicious this meal was and cannot wait to return!
