Just a heads-up based on a recent issue I dealt with: a clogged dryer vent can cause your dryer to overheat, work inefficiently, or even break down completely.

• Lint buildup restricts airflow, trapping heat inside the dryer
• Overheating can damage internal components and shorten the life of the machine
• Clogged vents are one of the leading causes of household fires
🧼 Basic dryer maintenance tips
• Clean the lint trap after every load
• Check the outside vent flap regularly to make sure air is flowing
• Have the dryer vent professionally cleaned at least once a year (more often if you do frequent laundry)
• If clothes take longer to dry, the dryer feels unusually hot, or you smell a burning odor—stop using it and check the vent

• Long or twisted vent lines clog faster than you’d think
• Even newer dryers can overheat if airflow is restricted
