You don’t need anyone’s permission to take care of yourself, but sometimes you just need a reminder that when you do, everyone benefits, including you. I have a few lymphatic appointments available this week to help your body reset and release what it’s been holding. Click the link to book.
This year has stretched me in ways I can’t even name, but is still standing by God’s grace and because you believe in what’s being built here. That support means everything to me as a small business owner.

Thanksgiving is approaching, and I didn’t want to wait to say thank you. So, thank you for trusting me with your care, for sending friends and family my way, for welcoming our products into your home, and for every share and every like that helps this business grow.

Your support means more than you know, and I’m thankful for every single one of you.
A few weeks ago I saw a video from a physical therapist saying that massages aren’t really self care. I understood the context of the message, but the delivery was off-putting. Messaging like that can make people feel judged about their wellness journey before they even know where to start.

The debates I see online between various practitioners about what self care is and is not have become more distracting than helpful. Everyday people are not looking to figure out which medical opinions are right or wrong. They are looking for clarity and practical, effective ways to support their own bodies in a world that constantly pulls from them.

Self care is not always pretty or enjoyable. Sometimes it requires facing fears and doing hard things, but every part of that journey should lead you toward restoration and better health.

We need conversations that cut through the noise and actually help reduce disease by deepening people’s understanding. We need to focus on meeting individuals where they are, not where we think they should be. That is why I choose to educate my clients. Self care, in its many forms, truly supports stress reduction, disease prevention, and long-term wellbeing.

*** If you made it to the end of this and are looking for therapeutic support, you are welcome here. ***
You know that moment when you finally slow down, and it hits you just how exhausted you really are?

Burnout has a way of sneaking up on us—we don’t always recognize we’re at our limit until we’re already past it. That’s why regular massage is so powerful—it helps you tune into your body before you reach that breaking point.

Your body gives you signals when you’re running on empty, but they’re easy to brush off when you’re constantly on the go. Maybe your shoulders are always tight, your sleep is restless, or your patience is running thin over little things. Maybe headaches creep in, or no matter how much rest you get, you still feel drained. These aren’t just random annoyances—they’re your body’s way of saying, “Hey, I need a reset.”

Instead of waiting until stress turns into chronic pain, exhaustion, or complete overwhelm, let’s start paying attention now. Massage isn’t just about relaxation—it’s a way to check in, notice the early signs of burnout, and give your body what it needs before things spiral.

Self-care isn’t optional; it’s how we keep showing up as our best selves.
Have you ever felt intimidated by strength training? Let’s talk about it in the comments! ⬇️ 💪🏾✨

While I have you, let’s also talk about the cycle of avoiding the gym or strength training because you don’t feel “fit enough” to start.

I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to restart your fitness journey. After both of my pregnancies, I had to completely rebuild my body—less muscle, more of everything else (if you know what I mean). It was humbling, but what helped me most was shifting my mindset and focusing on what my body could do rather than what it looked like.

Strength training isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about longevity, confidence, and overall health. Science backs this up:

• Boosts Metabolism: More muscle means your body burns more calories at rest.
• Stronger Bones: Lifting weights increases bone density, reducing the risk of osteoporosis.
• Hormonal Balance: Resistance training supports hormone regulation, which is especially crucial for women navigating changes like postpartum recovery or perimenopause.
• Improved Mental Health: Strength training has been shown to reduce anxiety, stress, and symptoms of depression by releasing endorphins and boosting self-esteem.

If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of avoiding the gym because you don’t feel ready—just start. Small steps lead to big changes, and you’re stronger than you think.
Self care is how we express gratitude for our mind, body and spirit.
How good do you want your body to feel?

The way you maintain your body must mimic the end result you desire for your health.

If you deal with a lot of stress on the daily basis or are required to perform at a higher level in your day to day life, you may need to come in more frequently than the average person.

If you experienced a level of physical trauma this is another factor that will influence how frequent you should come in for manual therapy. Scar tissue is a beast and needs to be mobilized so it does not cause prolonged pain and restrict your movement.

The treatment plan I recommend for someone using massage for preventative care versus rehabilitation are different.

According to the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), women are more likely to experience chronic constipation than men.

Two major factors that influence our digestive health as women are:

- Our Hormones: Low progesterone levels are attributed to a slow moving colon.

- The Mind - Body Connection
How we process stress and emotions can slow down our digestion causing it to become sluggish.

Save this self massage sequence for whenever your digestion is feeling a little sluggish or when abdominal bloat is getting the best of you.

Also feel free to SHARE it with a friend who could benefit from this for their own relief.

If you’re looking for other ways to improve your digestive health book a lymphatic session with me by clicking the link in my bio.
If you’re tired of feeling bloated and uncomfortable in your own body, keep reading.

Lymphatic Drainage Massages aren’t just for the person who wants to look snatched immediately. They’re also for the person who wants to be clearer in their thoughts, feel lighter, less bloated and have more energy.

Lymphatic Congestion is common. Mostly because the rate at which your body is bombarded with toxins, is faster than the rate these toxins can be flushed from your system.

Here are several common ailments and conditions that are linked to lymphatic congestion👇🏾

Arthritis
Acne
Bloating
Brain Fog
Constipation
Fatigue
Fibroids / Cysts
Headaches
PMS
Eczema
Joint Pain
Painful Periods
Difficulty Losing Weight

The key to avoiding lymphatic congestion is regular circulation of your lymph. Here are some ways to maintain your lymphatic system on your own:

💦 Self Massage: self massage is great to do in between your sessions with a licensed practitioner. Since the lymphatic system does not have a central pump, it needs manual intervention. Lymphatic massage will help move the lymph so it can be reabsorbed by your body, then eliminated through urination. This can be done 3-5 minutes a day.

💦 Dry Brushing: can be done 1 - 3x’s a week to promote healthy lymph flow. The key to dry brushing is the direction of the strokes. Make sure the strokes are going one way - toward your heart.

🏃🏾‍♀️ Exercise: is a powerful contributor to lymph flow. When your muscles are contracting, this creates a slight internal pressure that assists with lymph movement. Here are some great options for daily exercise: Walking, Swimming, Biking, Pilates, Trampoline Jumping, Tai Chi, Weight training and Yoga.

🧘🏾‍♀️ Deep Breathing: diaphragmatic breathing puts pressure on your thoracic duct which is the largest lymph vessel in the body. This will help move your lymph from the bottom half of your body up toward your heart.
