Painting stats: Untitled, 60”x48” Acrylic and thermoplastic paint on panel
For this new series the interplay between foreground and negative space reflects a core interest of mine which is the tension between presence and absence, permanence and decay. Each painting becomes a kind of excavation, where an image is unearthed rather than applied. Echoing themes of fragility, memory, and the fleeting nature of existence.
