happy new year!!! i hope you’ve all had a cozy, restful break. i took a week off social media and honestly… it was one of the best decisions i could’ve made.
starting the year with a social media detox gave me the space to reset, be more present, and actually tick things off my to-do list without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. it helped me slow down and reconnect with what matters.

hello!!! back with another weekly reading recap and this past week was so good, all thanks to for sending over a proof copy of half his age by, out january 20.
like a lot of people, i often fall into the doomscroll trap when i actually want to read. but this book? oh boy. i couldn’t put it down. i read it over the weekend and it was everything and more!
we follow waldo, a 17-year-old with incredibly intense thoughts and emotions, and the whole experience is a wild ride. the exploration of overconsumption and the instant gratification we get from online shopping is handled so thoughtfully and, unfortunately, i found it very relatable.
overall, a stunning debut novel: it’s so gripping, unsettling, and emotionally intense that it feels wrong not to give it five stars.
