Lemaire, gebürtiger Franzose, hat Musikgeschichte in die Region geholt: In den 1970er-Jahren brachte er als junger Konzertveranstalter – gemeinsam mit seinem Schuldfreund Thomy Elber - internationale Größen nach Liechtenstein und nach Vorarlberg – darunter Cat Stevens, Leonard Cohen, Procol Harum, Rod Stewart, Donovan und Udo Jürgens.
Ein besonderes Kapitel dieser Zeit jährte sich vor kurzem zum 50. Mal: Im Mai 1976 holte Lemaire den Weltstar Cat Stevens in die Eishalle Lustenau – es war wohl das erste große Popkonzert in Vorarlberg. Im Herbst desselben Jahres brachte er mit Kraftwerk die Pioniere der elektronischen Musik in die Stadthalle Feldkirch. Und in der Stadthalle Dornbirn musste ebenfalls im Jahr 1976 ein Konzert, bei dem die damals noch eher unbekannten AC/DC als Vorband spielen sollten, in letzter Minute abgesagt werden.
Lemaire hat seine Erinnerungen im Buch „Rock’n’Roll im Fürstentum“ festgehalten. Bei „Scheiben, die bleiben“ spricht er über jene Songs, die ihn geprägt haben, seine wilde Zeit als Konzertveranstalter – und vielleicht auch über die eine oder andere Anekdote, die nicht in seinem Buch steht.
