Fully machined in the Lakes, an easy-access cable clamp screw means it's straightforward to make adjustments to the cable tension - if the inline adjuster included in the kit hasn't already done the job.
CNC machined texture on the paddle keeps everything grippy, even on the sloppiest descents.
Unlike many designs, the Drop Dropper doesn't require you to cut the cable short against the screw. Instead, a generous 90mm length of cable is tucked in a 'trap' behind the lever blade; impossible to flick out accidentally, easy to unlock for servicing. There's room for a cable end to prevent fraying and keep everything neat.

Pull the cage of your Mech forwards when you're in the smallest sprocket, and it stops in place leaving the chain slack for easy wheel removal.
When the puncture's fixed or the journey's done, just release the cage. Pull the cage forwards again, push the Mech inboard and gently allow it to re-tension the chain.

We recently started to work with Ratio Tech, by using their multi compatible ring. When we saw their 13 speed ratchet which can be used with SRAM 11S shifters and Campagnolo cassette, we got the idea of building a very special bike. We got these old SRAM Force 1 levers sleeping in a box, and we decided to give them a second life. Here is the result, a 13 speed mechanical all road bike featuring a crazy mix of hi quality components from our partners, and some unusual technical choices, which we will explain into details in upcoming features.
So far, check these specs coming from several countries:

๐ฌ๐ง: crank ring and 13S ratchet
๐ฌ๐ง: RX4 brakes, seat post
๐ฎ๐น: Sharq wheels

The links slide onto the 5 mm stainless pivot axles from each end before being screwed together. This means there's no exposed holes on the ends of the links, and we can protect those bearings from the elements to keep the Mech running smoother for longer.
We put a lot of thought into this design decision. In particular, throughout the development of our Upgrade Kits we'd had a nagging suspicion that often the performance of our shifting was actually degrading due to drag in the plastic bushes in the derailleurs we were using. We iterated - bushes with more clearance, phosphor bronze bushes and then bearings - and found that derailleurs with bearings at the link pivots were more accurate, more repeatable and more resistant to degradation.
If you do damage the links or bearings on your Mech, simply unscrew and replace them.

So heads up: It's meant to look like that!

With our cable fin 'B' and 1x13 Ratchet, you can upgrade your SRAM mechanical groupset to 13 speed using SRAM's XPLR 13 speed cassette. The Ratio Mech currently represents the only way to access the excellent shifting performance of SRAM's 13 speed cassettes with mechanical shifting. Our stainless Enduro link bearings minimise friction in the mechanism, keeping your shifting accurate and repeatable over hours of riding time with no need for batteries.

We do all our own stunts. All of our machined components are manufactured by us, here just outside the town of Kendal in the UK's Lake District.
Having our manufacturing in-house is great for all manner of reasons: One minute we're design engineers, the next we're machinists; there are no irritating miscommunications, and design for manufacture is always foremost in our minds. This increases efficiency and allows us to move quickly from idea to prototype to finished part - not something that would be possible if we were simply sending a CAD file overseas and waiting months for a first batch to come back.
Here you can see a lever for our Drop Dropper taking form on our Haas 5 axis machine. Each lever takes around 20 minutes to machine from 6082 aluminium before we deburr it, polish it, send it to a local company for anodising, then bring it back to etch our logo and instructional marks. Finally it's assembled and sent out to one of you lucky peeps!

You shouldn't have to be an expert to keep your bike running smoothly. All of our Mechs are designed with an integrated cable adjuster (yes, it's machined by us in the Lakes - just like everything else). We all know the 'expert bike mechanics' among us don't need any help knowing which way to turn this little part to tweak out the best possible shifting performance, but for the rest of us we've included a diagram.
Turn the adjuster clockwise to index the shifting towards the smaller sprockets. Turn it anticlockwise to index towards the bigger sprockets. Simple.

Well, now we do! The Mech is available with cable fins to suit both SRAM's older 11 speed levers - with our 12 speed ratchet installed - and their newest 12 speed mechanical shifters.
This gives you the reliability and serviceability of mechanical shifting, combined with the excellent shifting performance of SRAM's latest cassette technology.
