With seven miles of waterfront parks including the downtown pier area, St. Pete is a wonderful place for a ramble.
A small city that's experiencing recent growth, St. Petersburg offers old Florida charm and lots of cottage-style architecture with modern amenities and an abundance of new condo buildings on Central Avenue.
Located on a peninsula in Tampa Bay, on the Gulf coast of Florida, the Sunshine City averages 361 days of sunshine each year.
The city has an amazing selection of unique restaurants with lots of tasty local nibbles, one-of-a-kind shops, multiple art museums, 193 parks, and a fabulous farmers market held every Saturday morning right in the heart of downtown.
We have enjoyed St. Pete multiple times as a day trip, a week-long destination, and most recently, as a month-long base as slow traveling remote workers.
While we love trying out new places, we'd definitely love to spend another month in St. Pete and suggest you visit this coastal gem that ranks #1 in Florida and #14 in the U.S. for its extensive park system.

Rambling around charming downtowns, in lovely neighborhoods, and through community parks that visitors usually miss, immerses you more fully in a destination.
A long ramble provides the opportunity to discover small details, a mood, or a scene that evokes a feeling of place.
