The wait is over, we are here to announce our official book of the year for 2025!

Without a doubt, the one book that captured the hearts of our readers is Theo of Golden by Allen Levi.

What came to us as a recommendation to Jeri from a customer who called Theo of Golden “the most hopeful book” she had ever read quickly took the hearts of several of our booksellers.

“Theo of Golden is about seeing others and feeling seen,” Jeri tells every customer who buys one of her favorite books in the store.

Allen Levi made his debut with Theo of Golden, and has had quite an incredible journey with its publishing. Originally self-published before booksellers like Laura and Jeri got ahold of the book and have spread it like wildfire. Because of all the love it’s gotten since its release, Theo of Golden has been picked up by Simon and Schuster this year!

Laura summed the book up pretty simply, “Theo changes lives.”
