I don’t know about you, but Busan deserves a real chance. It has everything you could ask for. Quiet landscapes, city energy, slow afternoons cafe hopping, and seafood so fresh you’ll end up finishing more shells than you planned.

#TravellingWithParents this time, and it felt like a full-circle moment. I’ve been to Busan a few times already, but I never tried these beachfront barbecue spots. I would always see groups enjoying it and tell myself one day I’ll bring my folks here. And it finally happened.

Traveling solo has its highs. I love it. But moments like this remind me that sharing a table, a view, and good food with the people you love hits different. This time, I wasn’t alone. And I’m grateful for that.

This trend, but with my mom 🥹

One of the things I find fascinating about this trip is seeing a totally different side of my mom. Don’t get me wrong—she’s always been fun, but not TikTok-fun. Seeing her dance and just let loose is a whole new version of her that I’m loving.
I’m just so grateful to be able to witness this and capture it.

What a great 2025 it has been.

South Korea, Busan—thank you so much for the awesome time! Gwangalli Beach, you’ll forever have a special place in our hearts.

I spent my entire 20s exploring as many places as I could, trying to understand myself and what I wanted out of life. As I grew, I realized that the things that truly stay with us aren’t the places we see alone, but the memories we create with the people who matter. Little by little, I learned that connection, presence, and shared experiences hold far more value than constant chasing.

Entering my 30s shifted my perspective even more. I became intentional with my time and protective of my energy. I chose the people who felt right, who supported me, and who made life feel lighter. I stopped forcing myself into spaces where I didn’t belong and stayed close to those who genuinely felt like home. For me, that space has always been family.

That’s why I knew I wanted to give back. So I brought my family to South Korea — to show them the places and moments that once brought me joy, from quiet cafés to hanok villages and all the small wonders in between. Sharing those experiences with them wasn’t just a trip; it was a reminder of what truly matters. And honestly, it became one of the best decisions of my life.

I didn’t expect an 8-day trip with my parents to shake me more than years of solo travel ever did.

I brought them to my favorite country thinking it was just a gift — something I could finally afford to do after years of wishing I could. But being with them every day, in a new place, without rushing, without distractions… it revealed things I never noticed growing up, and things I wasn’t prepared to feel as an adult.

This trip didn’t just give us memories.
It gave me perspective.
It made me see them — and myself — differently.

So here’s my question: what lessons could you discover if you truly traveled with your parents?

I got to share a drink with my dad in a whole different zip code, and honestly, it feels like I’ve made it in adulthood. Getting a little tipsy together and diving into Korean culture is a whole vibe! There’s something about Seoul that sneaks up on you and makes you extra giggly! So grateful for these moments with my dad; it’s these little traditions that make life sweet.

Seoul, you better watch out—I’ll be back for more drinks, and hopefully, I’ll remember this one next time! #TravellingWithParents
Shoutout to my parents for spending our 8-day South Korea trip — Busan AND Seoul — making me realize just how single I am. I paid for everything, and they still found every opportunity to leave me behind so they could go be all cute together.

Imagine flying across the world only to get third-wheeled by your own parents. Truly inspirational behavior.

Calling all single ladies: please rescue me. I can’t keep discovering my singleness in foreign countries.

three years ago, i visited eunpyeong hanok village in seoul, south korea for the first time. i remember standing there in awe, surrounded by quiet mountains and traditional houses, wishing i could bring my parents one day.

now, in 2025, that wish came true. i brought them back to the same view that once reminded me how big the world can be.

it’s moments like this—walking through the same path, but this time with the people who raised you—that remind me how travel can come full circle. ✨

I’m finally living the life I’ve been praying for. I’m now traveling with my parents in my favorite destination. I’ve introduced them to everything I love here—from the sights to the food—and now we’re all here together. No more saying, “I hope my parents can see this too.” I made it happen. So grateful! 🤍✨

a lot of you have been asking where to stay in busan. like what area is best and if i have any hotel recommendations, right?

when i brought my parents to busan for our little milestone trip, i wanted a place with a nice sea view. my dad loves having a drink with a view and my mom will literally take photos of anything pretty. i ended up choosing in gwangalli and it turned out to be exactly what we needed.

i got to stay there through some friends from the hotel who invited me to check it out, and honestly the whole experience made my parents so happy. the hotel is super clean, feels new, the location is perfect, there are so many cute photo spots, and the staff were genuinely so kind. my parents are still talking about it.

the video says the rest. if you ever come during the busan fireworks festival, the glass walls in the room basically give you front-row seats.
