First things first, we paid cash for our first buildout and supplies. If we didn’t have the money, we didn’t spend it. Every decision was made with ROI in mind. Our first goal? Earn back our initial investment so we could pay ourselves back and go on payroll. We hit that milestone within 6 months of opening. 🎊
When we opened our first location we wore every hat: manager, front desk, medical assistant, office cleaner, and everything in between. We couldn’t afford to outsource until the business could sustain it.
Once we were in the black, we hired our first esthetician. Then a bookkeeper. Then an accountant. Eventually, we built out an entire finance team to help us scale sustainably and smart.
What set us apart in the first year? We didn’t chase every shiny new machine or trendy service. Just because a competitor has it doesn’t mean it works, or makes money. A lot of it is hype. We stayed focused on what delivers real results for real people. We listened to what our patients valued, but also what they really needed.
And through it all, we’ve kept that local, hometown experience our patients have grown to love.
The key? We focused on us - our strengths, our patients, our lane.
