Different concerns, same solution: the right routine, not harsher products.

So many skin issues come down to a compromised skin barrier and using products that don’t match your skin’s actual needs.

Target the concern. Support the barrier. Be patient.
That’s when skin actually starts to change.

Swipe through to see how I approach each concern in a skin-safe, realistic way 🤍 Save this for later & share with someone who needs it.

Retinol is one of the most effective skincare ingredients we have, but it demands patience and respect.

In the first few weeks, it’s common to experience dryness, mild irritation, or even breakouts. This phase is called retinisation — your skin is learning to renew itself faster. It doesn’t mean the product is harming you or “not working.”

What actually makes retinol successful is how you introduce it:
• Start low and slow (1–2 nights a week)
• Use only a pea-sized amount
• Apply on dry skin
• Support your barrier with ceramides and moisturisers
• Always wear sunscreen during the day

Results like smoother texture, clearer pores, reduced pigmentation, and improved fine lines take weeks to months, not days. Skincare isn’t instant, it’s cumulative.

The biggest mistake I see? Giving up too early or overusing it too fast.

Be consistent. Be gentle. Protect your skin barrier.
Retinol rewards those who wait ✨

When I started online consults a few months ago, I was both nervous and excited. As a doctor, you study your whole life and go through thousands of trials, but nothing truly prepares you for that first patient. The first person who comes to you with complete trust and confidence that you can help them.

Yes, I’d seen patients before, but this felt different. My first private consult. My first appointment as a dermatologist.

Here are some reviews and progress photos from my very first batch of skin plan clients, who’ve now completed their 6- or 9-week journeys. I couldn’t be happier with their results. It gives me the greatest joy to help people feel confident in their own skin.

Remember, every skin is unique, and so is its healing time. What takes 6 weeks for one person might take 3 or even 12 for another. The key is to consult a professional and stay patient with both your skin and yourself.

If you’re ready to start your own skin improvement journey, drop me a DM — let’s work together to achieve your skin goals 🤍

Story time 🩺✨
.
When I started med school, I was sure I wanted to be a surgeon. I was that hardcore medic — fully focused, ambitious, and all in. MD life didn’t really excite me… I wanted to be in the OR.
.
Fast forward 5 years, I took all my savings (plus some brave loans) and threw them into a passion project: 💄
And I just… couldn’t go back.
.
I fell in love with creating, researching, and building something of my own. Suddenly the surgeon in me had disappeared, and I found myself in a space that felt right.
.
But I won’t lie — I felt lost for a while. Like I’d hit a dead end.
That’s when I started — and skincare lit something up in me. With my medical background, everything started making more sense, and I realized I could merge both worlds: science and passion.
.
That decision led me to where I am today, at the beginning of my dermatology career.
I’m still not where I want to be… there’s so much more I’m working towards. But I promise to give it my all, every step of the way 🤍
.
Doing work you love is such a blessing.
What I once thought was a setback was actually redirection — to my dream.
.
So if you’re in a place where things don’t make sense… if you feel stuck or lost… this is your sign to trust the process. Let it unfold.
.
With love,
Dr. Rabbia Sohail 🤍✨
