Ce concert marque la fin de la résidence du au sein de la Fondation Singer-Polignac. Les musiciens ont choisi d’interpréter un quatuor de Beethoven à qui ils dédient leur premier album paru cet hiver (Scala Music). Ils seront rejoints sur scène par leur mentor le, auprès de qui ils étudient à la Hochschule für Musik und Theater de Munich et qu’ils retrouvent régulièrement dans les murs de la fondation.
Ce programme met en regard deux œuvres emblématiques de la musique de chambre du début du XIXᵉ siècle, révélatrices de moments décisifs dans l’évolution du langage de leurs compositeurs.
Dernier des quatuors dits « Razoumovski », le Quatuor à cordes opus 59 n°3 de Ludwig van Beethoven témoigne d’une profonde transformation de l’écriture chambriste. L’architecture formelle y gagne en ampleur et en liberté, tandis que le travail thématique et contrapuntique renforce la tension dramatique de l’ensemble. Le finale, d’une énergie rythmique singulière, pousse à son paroxysme l’élan moteur de l’œuvre et annonce certaines audaces des périodes ultérieures.
Composé en 1825, l’octuor pour cordes de Felix Mendelssohn frappe par sa maturité exceptionnelle. Pensé comme une œuvre symphonique pour huit instruments solistes, il conjugue clarté polyphonique, richesse de textures et vitalité collective. L’octuor illustre avec éclat l’équilibre entre héritage classique et sensibilité romantique naissante, tout en affirmant une écriture résolument tournée vers le dialogue et l’élan commun.

L’ultimo appuntamento della stagione 2025/26 in Sala Verdi del Conservatorio di Milano ha visto protagonista il con la seconda parte dell’integrale dei quartetti di Ludwig van Beethoven, un progetto che continuerà anche nella prossima stagione della Società del Quartetto di Milano.
Un suono limpido, intenso, capace di tenere il pubblico sospeso fino all’ultima nota.
Ancora una volta, una serata di quelle che restano nella memoria.
