Tuesday was a very special day in LONDON, attending the awards evening and seeing my work exhibited alongside so many talented photographers and stylists from around the world.
Seeing my photographs displayed in the gallery was a wonderful feeling, and they looked even more beautiful in print than I had imagined.
Before flying back to Spain, I returned the following morning to visit the exhibition and spend some time enjoying all the work on display.
I’m incredibly grateful to have been finalist of this year’s World Food Photography Awards, and 3rd place in the category M&S Food Rising Star 🩵
A heartfelt thank you to the organisers for all the work behind the scenes and for creating a space that celebrates food photography on an international stage.

Ayer viernes Kimi cruzó al otro lado del arco iris 💔
No sé muy bien cómo escribir esto. Hay un silencio en casa horrible, silencio que él llenaba y es como una losa que no deja ni respirar.
Era de esos seres que no necesitan hacer nada especial para que el mundo gire alrededor de ellos. Solo estar. El era luz.
Ocho años a mi lado, tan noble, como dice su nombre, siendo puro amor. Pasamos muchos ratos juntos aprovechando el tiempo que teníamos.
Ni cuando estuvo enfermo perdió un gramo de su esencia. Siguió siendo el mismo de siempre. Eso solo lo hacen los seres especiales.
Se ganó a todo el que se cruzó en su camino. Mi familia, mis amigos, las propias doctoras del hospital. El maldito sabía exactamente lo que hacía.
Solo espero que supiera cuánto le quería y que fuera feliz. Trate de darle la mejor vida posible y todo el cariño del mundo. Se lo merecía y no podemos hacer menos por ellos.
Mi vida fue mejor gracias a él.
Yo fui mejor.
Te voy a echar de menos cada día.
Vuela alto, mi niñito precioso.

Hoy cumplo 2.920 días.
Ocho años.
No todos han sido fáciles.
Tengo IBD y síndrome de Evans, y eso hace que a veces me toque pasar más tiempo del que nos gustaría en el hospital.
Hoy, sin ir más lejos, me ha tocado volver. Pero ya estoy en casa, y todo está controlado.
Tengo una mamá humana que me cuida, que está pendiente de mí en todo momento y que no se rinde nunca conmigo. Y también tengo a gente que me ha sacado adelante muchas veces. Gracias 💥💥💥.
En la foto están mis cosas: mi comida (que me gusta bastante), mi fuente, mi cuerdita, mis juguetes… lo que forma mi día a día. Y dormir, claro. Muchas horas. Como buen gato que soy 😹.
Cumplir años así te enseña algo: no hay que esperar a que todo esté perfecto para estar bien.
Feliz cumple para mí.

One of the key requirements was to keep a warm tone across all the images.
I worked with hard light, mixing flash with natural light.
We shot the space, a selection of dishes, and some lifestyle moments.
There’s a small pond, and the ducks ended up stepping into the frame in several shots 🦆

Seeing my work shown at the National Art Center in Tokyo is something I will never forget 🥹
Four of my photographs were awarded in the 3rd FPA Professional Food Photography Awards, and one of them was chosen as the main image for the official poster and promotional materials.
Watching people recognize the image and stop to take photos in front of it was deeply moving.
The exhibition was beautifully curated, and the space itself is truly incredible.
I’m deeply grateful to Ryoko, Shoya, Ryo, and the entire team involved, for their generosity, the meaningful conversations, and for taking such beautiful care of my work.
I felt genuinely welcomed and deeply respected throughout the whole experience.
Beyond the work itself, the journey to Tokyo became something very special.
Long walks, quiet moments, new places discovered, incredible food, and the chance to experience the city slowly and fully present.
This experience has become a meaningful milestone in my creative path.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Las fotografías se veían espectaculares y todo estaba muy cuidado; tanto el espacio como el museo en sí son realmente impresionantes.
Gracias de corazón a Ryoko, Shoya y a todo el equipo de FPA por todo el trabajo, por el trato tan cercano, por hacerme sentir tan bienvenida, por su generosidad y su amabilidad, por las charlas compartidas y también por los regalos.
Tokio, como siempre, espectacular. He pateado la ciudad sin parar, he descubierto lugares nuevos y he comido muy rico, disfrutando de la experiencia con calma.
Un auténtico regalo de semana. ❤️

Soy Ana, fotógrafa gastronómica, de producto y docente.
Me gusta la magia y la creatividad.

- ☕️ Adicta al café (y ahora al matcha - prueba de ello esta foto 😆). Puedo levantarme arrastrando de sueño pero llego sobrada hasta la cafetera #coffeelover & #matchalover
- Qosen es mi marca y significa ‘la luz entre las sombras’. Como cuento en About, viene de una palabra japonesa y nace un poco de la fotografía que hacía mi padre (también fotógrafo) con muchas sombras y claroscuros. Quería una marca que me representara tanto a nivel personal como a nivel fotográfico. Se pronuncia como se escribe, sin más.
- 🏊🏻♀️ Me encanta nadar y estar en el agua. Creo que es un ejercicio buenísimo a todos los niveles… y sobre todo para aliviar estrés. Puedo pasarme horas en el agua que estoy mas feliz dentro que fuera. Eso es lo que tenemos los cangrejos 🦀
- 🍋 Todos los días (aparte del cafecito y el matcha) tomo una infusión de jengibre, miel y limón. Fan también de estos 3 ingredientes, que yo llamo la ‘Santa Trinidad’.
- Vivo con mi gatito Kimi en Madrid. Tengo un estudio donde imparto cursos / mentorías y hago sesiones gastro y de producto con clientes.
