I’ve learnt so much through her page and the wonderful community she has built — a space filled with ideas, reflection, and authentic experiences from the classroom. Over the years, our conversations about education, creativity, and growth have been such a source of inspiration.
This week, we finally met in person — both travelling the distance to make it happen — and it felt as if we’d known each other forever. We bonded over meaningful conversations about education and life, shared laughter, and explored the city together. 💫
Grateful for friendships that begin through shared passions and continue to grow beyond screens — reminding us how beautifully connected the world of education can be. 🤍
Here’s to global educators, lifelong learning, and the friendships that make the journey even more special. 💕 #friendsofinstagram #globaleducators #ibpyp #edinburgh

Before diving into balancing equations and reaction types, Pridhee used the Jigsaw Provocation Tool from our Free Tools Library to help her learners make conceptual connections.
By exploring word and symbol equations first, students began to see links to broader ideas like change, systems, representation, and cause & effect.
This approach fostered deeper conceptual awareness inviting students to generalise and connect their understanding before getting technical.
💡 The power of a provocation lies in the questions it provokes.
Consider how you might use this tool with your students. 🤩 Thank you for sharing your students’ great thinking.

Steps through co-planning our unit of inquiry.
👉🏼Following on from our initial provocation with the #inquirybasket, where the children had to make connections to find related concepts, we then narrowed down those related concepts to their top three.
👉🏼You can see those written on our chart.
👉🏼Then I introduced the central idea to them.
👉🏼You can see that our central idea contains 3 of their related concepts. 👏🏼
👉🏼We then wrote our own questions and shared those in small groups, where the children had to discuss the questions and form them into 1 or 2 lines of inquiry. I wrote their lines of inquiry on a separate chart.
👉🏼These were discussed and narrowed down again to create our three lines of inquiry written on our plan.
👉🏼From there, we then talk about what we WANT to learn and what we NEED to learn in order to investigate our inquiries.
Normally, I can do this in a couple of mornings.
👉🏼Additional questions are sometimes added as sub-lines of inquiry ( the question of taxes will fit under the first LOI) and also the children opt to have independent inquiries.#student agency #inquirybasedlearning #studentledinquiry #ibpyp
