Arm training can be “simple”, you might think, just go in the gym, do a couple of curls and push downs, and you will grow 20 inch pythons, right?
🙄 WRONG.
Below is the list of what I’ve found works, and what doesn’t, for both biceps and triceps.
DO’s ✅
👉 Supersets work for arm training. Combine both bicep and triceps movements to push a lot of blood in to your arms, and get a massive pump.
👉 Work mainly in the 10-20 rep range. However, I need to note that for triceps, heavy exercises are recommended, in the 6-8 rep range, such as dips and close grip bench press. For biceps, I would focus mainly on the 10-20 rep range.
👉 Use machines, cables, free weights. Don’t limit yourself to just a couple of exercises. Make use of all the equipment in the gym. Free weights for the compounds, and machines/cables for the isolations.
DONT’s ❌
👉 Sacrifice form for weight: Arms are one of the most important muscles that you need to build a mind muscle connection with. Lower the weight, pause, and squeeze!
👉 Throw bicep and triceps exercises at the end of your workouts: It’s important to dedicate a whole session and even have arm days, especially if your arms are lagging.
👉 Ignore overhead work and Hammer curl movements: For triceps, overhead exercise will help you target the long head. And for biceps, the hammer curl will work the brachialis and brachioradialis muscles. Make sure to target all muscles in your arms!
These are some of my most favourite tips for arm training, for now. I get a lot of questions about my arms so I thought I would share this!

Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Sounds like a cliche, but it’s true!
You can’t undo years of bad habits within a few weeks, or months.
We live in the age of social media now where everybody wants instant gratification.
Everyone wants to get bigger, quickly.
Everyone wants to get leaner, quickly.
Everyone wants to see instant results.
But most people don’t want to put in the work.
Forget about where you are at the moment...Think about where you will be within months, within years of hard work!

I've been lifting for 8 years now, and I've made a lot of mistakes throughout this journey. Mistakes that could've easily been avoided, mistakes that would've saved me a lot of time and headache.
Below, I will list my 5 biggest mistakes that I've made, and hope that you really take home this message and use it in your own fitness journey!
1️⃣ You need to bulk: Make no mistake about it. If you want to add muscle, you will need to be in a caloric surplus. Yes you will gain a little fat and you will lose your abs, but there's no point having abs if you're gonna weigh 140 pounds.
2️⃣ Have a plan, and stick to it: This goes to both training and nutrition. Create a plan, and stick to it! Don't change your training routine from week to week.
3️⃣ Train in all rep ranges: This is an important tip for training. The 8-12 rep range is bull$hit! You need to train in the lower rep range (as low as 3, preferably 5), and as high as 30 or more for some body parts! (Legs 👿)
4️⃣ Diet is everything: This is probably the most important one. No matter how hard you bust your a$$, you're not gonna progress if your diet is not ON POINT (this goes for both dieting and bulking)
5️⃣ Science vs anecdotal evidence: I love scientific research as much as anyone, but sometimes, you just need to go with experience, and what works for you. I have seen people make gains using training techniques that research said is not "optimal". Be conscious of the studies on lifting, as the majority of them being done use beginner lifters who have never lifted a weight before.
I hope these 5 tips can help prevent you from making these crucial mistakes that I've made over my lifting career and can help you get these gains that you want to make!

The goal is to be both big and lean….
What’s the point in having abs if you’re gonna be skinny and weak?!
Caption for this pic..: how I look at someone when I’ve just got on the machine and they ask me how many sets I got left 😆

It doesn’t matter if you are bulking or dieting, your training style should (mainly) remain the same.
You don’t need to switch to high rep training when you are dieting to tone your body or burn calories!
Let your deficit be created mainly through your diet and cardio (if needed).
Keep your training style the same. Make sure you are lifting heavy to preserve the muscle that you have!

So, let’s get straight to the topic. Dirty bulking, is it worth it? Should you do it? Or is clean bulking the way to go?
Well let’s look at the pros first of all.
1) You WILL add a lot of muscle
2) You WILL get very strong
After all, this is what bulking and bodybuilding is all about, right? Getting bigger and stronger. So what is the issue with dirty bulking?
Well, there are some CONS to it. Such as:
1) You will add a lot of UNWANTED body fat
2) You will have to DIET for a long time after you’re done bulking
3) You will probably lose some of the muscle that you’ve added due to how long your cut will be
While I am not a fan of dirty bulking at this stage of my lifting career, i think it is something that you have to go through especially if you’re a natural and struggle to put on muscle.
The reality is a lot of people are scared to put on weight and lose their abs when they bulk, which leads to them staying in the same place and not progressing for years.
In bodybuilding, bulking and adding muscle is WAY harder than dieting. So, in my opinion, it is better to bulk and add muscle (which, yes, will come with some extra body fat), than to TRY and clean bulk and not go anywhere.
So, to summarise, if you are an advanced bodybuilder, dirty bulking is probably not a good idea. However, if you’re a beginner and struggle to put on weight and muscle, in my opinion it’s not the worst option in the world.
From my experience, a clean bulk requires YEARS of experience and mastering to get it right. Don’t be afraid to bulk and lose some of your abs!

Train your triceps with more volume compared to your biceps! Your triceps have 3 heads (in comparison to your biceps, which only have 2) which means they require more training volume in comparison.
Lots of dips, pushdowns, skull crushers, and overhead extensions!
