Ever since my son introduced me to Monkey D. Luffy, I have genuinely believed that I am a pirate.

I am 🏴‍☠️

The long and short of it is, I love kids who don’t follow orders, don’t listen and generally people who take the road less travelled!!!

This book is a riot.
I laughed my way through to the end.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrr 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️
When Im upset, or I grieve - my process is, I take up something hard. A hard physical challenge or a hard craft or a very hard exam.

I was EXTREMELY close to my Aji and dreaded her passing away for years. When it actually happened- I realised that I was stronger than I gave myself credit for.
I went to work a day later. Purposely.
I woke up and followed my regular schedule.
I took up hard things to do - this was one of them.

Coping comes in many forms:)
Not just therapy 👊🏽
and I met at Chettinad. It was easily one of my most memorable trips, rich in many histories, architectural history, cultural history & banking history!!!!!

Amar has an eye for beauty and someday we will hopefully work together ♥️😉
You Dino lovers;)
Kindle versus Physical books!!!
Do you have a preference???:)
Maurice Sendak and Lewis Carroll for those of you who really really know me - are my favourite-esssst and my house is filled with several editions of their books.

If only I had first editions 🤪
“The day war came” by Nicola Davies is a book that gave me hope and a giant lump in my throat. Children need protection from adults. Perhaps someday it’s all I will do - is to work on Mental health policy for children? Someday.
Until then, this will have to do ♥️
I was incredibly overwhelmed when I read this book. It is soft, it is heavy and it is real. I loved it. I have only read out on this platform less than 2-3% of the whole book - I encourage you to go and read it for yourself.

The editors cut out the part when I precede my statement of “this happens to everybody” - with the explanation that some or the other form of grief is encountered by us all - I did not mean this specific kind of grief.
A cut from a conversation I had with the team on AI. I did end with “I think it’s not fashionable enough to replace humans” 🤪😉
Also cut out from this snippet is my opinion on how I find it incredibly easy to detect AI without the use of any software because of its “tell.” Be it a piece of prose or a reel - I suppose it comes from having read so many books. You know when something has been written by a human:)
I turned 45 this week.
Though I’d introduce the “instagrammable” bits of myself (the parts of me that I am comfortable sharing with people).

My favourite pic from this carousel is the one that is candid - because I am at my happiest when I am in deep discussions and conversations with people who also love knowledge for its sake. We argue and then resolve our positions eventually. Somebody please gift me a seat at the Munk debates.

I was asked “what puts you off?” - if someone starts a conversation with “I know, because I have a degree from…so and so” I get irritated.

Some of the best & deepest conversations I have had are with children. And cab drivers. I value authenticity. So i think we should shove our degrees up some dark places and focus instead on what’s before us 🤘🏼🤙🏼

I am always tired, and therefore, although I feel like it, I seldom get to it - i.e. responding to your comments and DMs and for that I beg your forgiveness and I thank you for writing in. I request that you don’t approach me for collaborations because I will not sell something for you - I am here to share my opinions for free. This is also why i dont have affiliate links folx!

This week, I am taking off from posting anything more because I will be busy having fun -reading & eating the ladoos & puran polis and cakes my dear friends made me - the rest of my time I intend on doing 2 other things - getting my son ready for his school tests and spacing out the rest of the time. We will stare at the stars and try to fix the telescope. We will also try to come up with one idea for a Rube Goldberg machines! Lets see!

Cheers to you
