Procs (Sanaton Rec/Parvati Rec)🐉

Procs is the main pseudonym that the Swedish musician Mikael Stegman is using when creating his freeform version of danceable psychedelic music.

Infused by a broad spectra of influences on top of his characteristic sound paintings, the listener is taken on a jazzy, gy-psy-delic excursion into strangely familiar territories that is very much Procs’s own realms of music.

See you in the forest! 🧙‍♂️

Really looking forward to Ethereal Decibel Festival this July ✨

Told myself I’d take fewer gigs this summer… more time at home, more creating, more staring into space pretending it’s “research” 👀
But this one… yeah, no chance I’m missing it.

Heard too many good things.
Let’s see what kind of mischief we can cook up on the dancefloor 🥳🍄

After months of attempts to resolve unpaid fees, we are forced to make this final statement.

Parvati Peaking & Alpine Crew still have outstanding payments to Sanaton Records artists. The core issue throughout this process has been a total lack of communication and unfulfilled commitments.

This decision was not made lightly. It comes after exhausting all reasonable efforts to resolve the matter privately.

Based on our direct experience, we cannot recommend working with them. They are blacklisted from future collaboration with Sanaton Records and its artists.

This post is shared to inform and protect the scene.

Apparently the year is coming to an end.
It’s been one of those years — travels, good people, odd ideas,
moments that quietly stuck around.

2025 also happens to mark 20 years since the first Procs album landed.
It wasn’t a concept album, more an accidental time capsule —
tracks from 4–5 different years, moods and musical obsessions.
And somehow it still holds strangely together.

Maybe because some of it came from the same year,
the same curiosity, the same slightly tilted headspace.
Psychedelia as the glue that didn’t know it was glue.

Think of it as Monty Python’s 100-meter sprint for deaf people:
chaotic, unnecessary, strangely beautiful —
and weirdly in sync.

The label’s cover guy had some very confident ideas —
cool monsters and things like that.
Being uncool, I couldn’t go with that.

So I opened Photoshop and started playing.
It got more humorous. More crooked. More me.

No nostalgia though. Just forward motion. The future.
There will be music. It will never end.
Highly necessary for the soul to survive.

Sometimes danceable. Sometimes odd.
Sometimes Procs. Sometimes something else,
and sometimes something other, and sometimes…

And this little video thing?
Just playing around with the old cover again —
same spirit, new toys, lots of fiddling and cutting.
A small end-of-year firecracker.

🟣⚫️ Don Pepe’s loving words on Pepe’s Bodega - Film Noir EP

🔊 In bio

“About Procs - Mr. Bängrot Rides Again (Pepe's Bodega Remix)

I have a vague memory of receiving a folder of stems from my good friend Mikael (Procs) some random day in the studio fog - when and why is beyond me.

Coming home from a summer season of gigs a couple of years ago I felt a strong need to make a track fit for freaky mornings where a full night of dancing had taken it's toll on the body. Something steadfast, marching, hypnotic and not too dramatic. An odd mission maybe, but nonetheless that's what was called for in me. And there it was, the toolbox needed for the mission - a folder full of Mikael's truly unique sound design.

I chose to not listen to his original track, to stay away from subconscious influences, and started to build the track with samples from all kinds of sources. At some point I sent the demo to Sam, and we finalized it together. It's been an obvious set opener for us in recent years, but we've also pitched it up hard, far above 150, for an even more twisted vibe, and I can imagine it would work well for slower tempos too.”
Thrilled to announce my new collaboration with Ethereal Decibel Management!

Excited to see where this journey takes us — blending my freeform, playful and explorative approach to psychedelic dance music with their energy and vision.

Looking forward to sharing new experiences, dancefloors and curious sonic twists together ahead!

Ps. Brazil still with Warmbookings
