This one is easily one of my favorites I’ve ever stayed in. Cozy but elevated, quiet but not remote, and somehow just felt really good to be in. So good that I felt bad enjoying it all to myself (kinda 😏).

This property is located only an hour from Pittsburgh in the // 4 Bedrooms // 3 Baths // A Sauna // Hot Tub // is only a 10 minute walk from the town of Ligonier // has a golf sim // near tons of winter activities such as hiking in Linn Run State Park // X Country Skiing // Snow Shoeing // Ski Resorts // And it’s just a complete VIBE 😍
📍Stone Mountain: This was one of my favorite hiking spots in North Carolina. The trail is steep but you also get incredible views and waterfalls!
📍Highlands: What even is this place? When I grow up, I want to buy a house and disappear here.
📍Blowing Rock: Classic Blue Ridge charm and easy to access hiking!
📍Great Smoky Mountains National Park: Misty mornings, wandering elk, and just all of the best things the GSM has to offer/
📍Oregon Inlet: Wild beaches, dramatic skies, and some of the most underrated coastal scenery in the state
📍Asheville: Art, food, breweries, and the perfect mix of mountain town and creative energy
📍Grandfather Mountain: Iconic, a little humbling, and absolutely worth every step (and nerve)
📍Hatteras National Seashore: Remote, windswept, and one of my favorite places to feel small in the best way

Death Valley National Park, one of the driest places in the world, briefly turned into a lake after record rainfall. Lake Manly reappeared in Badwater Basin, stuck around for a short window, and then disappeared again just as fast.
Being able to paddleboard on something this rare felt unreal. One of those travel moments that reminds you how wild and unpredictable nature really is.

📍Blue Ridge Parkway: For me, it was the slow drives with endless overlooks, plus the hiking, wow.
📍Bryson City: Maybe one of my favorite places in NC! So much adventure activities, plus access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
📍Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge: I do kinda laugh about going kayaking (on purpose) with alligators, but I think this is one of the wildest, most underrated spots in NC.
📍Burnsville: Small town charm tucked right into the mountains. Perfect home base for exploring!!
📍Outer Banks: I mean, it’s the Outer Banks. Need I say more?
📍Hanging Rock State Park: Such a great place for a weekend getaway with camping, hiking, and just taking it slow.
📍Hot Springs: Natural hot springs, and I loveee a good hot spring so nothing more to say here lol.
📍Mt Mitchell: Standing on the highest point east of the Mississippi just feels right.

Huge thanks to and for introducing me to! The water comes straight from a natural mineral spring and flows into private soaking tubs. You can even rent your own cabana for some peace, quiet, and dreamy mountain + river views.
The property also has private cabins with their own tubs, plus an RV & campground area. Campground guests don’t get free hot springs access, but they do get a discount on soaks. Some cabanas sit right along the river, making this magical in any season, fall colors, snow, you name it. ❄️🍂

After a slow morning at the retreat, we laced up and finally headed into Pisgah National Forest, a place I’ve always wanted to explore. I’ve road tripped through North Carolina a bunch over the years, so when + invited me out, it was an immediate yes!!
I’ll be honest… I didn’t think it snowed here. In my little PA brain, NC was where you escaped winter. So yes, it was a tad cold and very unexpected, but in the best way. Trees dripping with icicles, treetops dusted white. Plus, the hike we did was the perfect length and elevation.
Since Carvers Gap sits on the Appalachian Trail, you can even camp along the trail in designated or previously used spots. Filing that away for my next trip back.
We explored Carvers Gap with our guides from, and walking with locals makes such a difference! Stories about the land, ecosystem, and history made the trail come alive.
